Banoffee Pies Records 16th Original Series release comes via a 4 track
Split EP collaboration between Kincaid, and Zenzizenz, the ambient moniker of techno producer Viers. After a long year behind us, and likely ahead, this record takes a temporary step into the calm and adds reflection to the blurred months that passed.

The release is a collection of textural bumps and melodies opening with Kincaid’s 9 minute “Slow Stumble Home” - an aptly titled down tempo trip through a confused space, layered with composition, like a Playstation home screen theme on Mushrooms. Calm follows with two tracks from Zenzizenz - “Returning From Home”, a steady meditation through rumbling sounds soon shift to a new mood on the B side. “Falling Off” offers a more lethargic wandering through the marshland before BP016 comes to it’s close with “Single Cell”, the 2nd Kincaid track, which concludes with a chaptered 4x4 structure and slow bursts of energy. The fighting had broken out several days ago and there had been little respite since. Pleas had come from both sides but nothing seemed to settle the violence, peace wasn't on the horizon. The media had done their worst, pitting each side against the other, scapegoating them for the bad decisions made by those who wield the power. The terrain ahead was unchartered so they braced themselves for the worst.

Benedikt Frey and Menqui's Serious Trouble imprint return with another batch of gritty electronic excursions, this time courtesy of producer NVST. Part of the Statement Crew, Female:Pressure and one half of the team behind the Big Science label, she's got plenty of firm roots within electronic music, which she's now extending to her own productions and the release of her debut solo EP, 'Stop Violence Motivate Violence'. Full of driving rhythms, warbling metallic synths, crunchy breaks and stuttering vocal samples, the release is an accomplished introduction to NVST's sound palate, bolstered by a remix from Benedikt on the flip.

Like trudging through viscous air, I Lost All My Data is a blissed-out barrage of sub-bass that nods to a long-lasting passion for sound system culture.

Uploading turbo-charged wubs with molten glass melodies, the debut EP of Giovanni Bonelli (aka @notteinfinita) is a welcomed update for UK style broken-techno conventions. Booting-up with its title track, the record quadrisects the fabric of digital music, each cut a sonic reprogramming of its predecessor. ‘Slippery Tuff’ references off-kilter club, while on the flip, ‘Ecstatic Dub (Roller Mix)’ climaxes in an ultra-sensory faux-organic whorl. Unplugging the whole thang, ‘Oxygen’ manipulates post-dubstep textures, into a data-roused jungle tunnel.

Deciphering glitched-out signal processing and harmonic warps, I Lost All My Data is the software upgrade that every system needs – do not choose Later; Install Now.

Grid turns one ! To celebrate our first anniversary, we are happy to release our second compilation with twelve amazing artists from around the world (USA, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland and England, of course). 

Still focused on eclectism, each track is part of a colorful selection ready for a party summer. From experimental opening by K Wata, through bass bangers from Sputnik One, Mafou and Yilan, deep objects by Kincaid, Mistareez and Tristan Arp, engineering techno from Erik Luebs, Christian Kroupa and Fingers of God, to crazy shifted tracks by Nico and Henzo.
