If the recently issued C86 Box Set has you waxing nostalgic about bands like the Shop Assistants, Primitives, Flatmates, and the Jesus and Mary Chain, then Seafang ought to be up your alley. It certainly hit the spot for us – “Motorcycle Song” Mix the indie pop charm and songwriting chops of the C86 scene with a splash of shoegaze and you’ll get a good idea where they are coming from.

Seafang consist of Heidi on vocals, Susan and Stacy on guitars, Paul on drums, and Gary on the bass. Indie scenesters may remember the latter from his acclaimed ‘90s group Honeyrider.

After a long hibernation from my Swallow days at 4AD,  I returned to music and started making music again, releasing an album  'Made of Stars' on Saint Marie Records in 2014. Falling from Grace (2016, Bandcamp) and Sleep of Apples at the end of 2024(Bandcamp)

The Black Ryder is a collaboration between Australian duo Aimée L. Nash & Scott Von Ryper now based in Los Angeles.

Their debut album ‘Buy The Ticket, Take the Ride’ was released through Mexican Summer (USA) in September 2010 & EMI Music / The Anti-Machine Machine (Australia). 

Their anticipated follow up was released on 24th Feb 2015, 'The Door Behind The Door'  transforms The Black Ryder's kaleidoscopic sound and vision into something even more vivid, uncompromising, and sublime, bringing in new textures and emotions and moments of catharsis and transcendence.
