The Brazen sound is about trying to show people music they didn't know they wanted to hear. Raised in the concrete jungle of Sao Paulo Brazil before immigrating to Houston, and armed with a wide array of influential sounds, Brazen mixes are just  that - bold and unapologetic (the definition of Brazen). From minimalistic house, to punk and hip hop, to bass and trap, no genre is safe from his energetic mixing and cool yet in your face style. With live edits throwing together Britney Spears into RL Grime, Ellie Goulding into Zeds Dead, or even Journey into Diplo, there's something for everyone at a Brazen show. Having shared the stage with the likes of Ookay, K?D, DNMO, ATLiens, Luca Lush, Zeds Dead, Juelz, Vincent, Getter, and Ekali, his creative sets have slowly but surely established Brazen shows as a must see up and coming experience in underground Denver venues, Seattle nightclubs, and rooftops alike. As an added bonus at select shows, the Brazen experience is enhanced into a full live set as he takes the stage with Wax Mellins, a talented alto saxophonist who adds a musical and funky layer to the sonic soundscape that is pumped into the crowd. Be sure to catch the next Brazen set, and you'll find yourself dancing to sounds you've never heard and singing along to songs you forgot could sound this good.

Biography

Composer and piano improviser, Nicolas de Zorzi began as a bass player in alternative music bands. He then trained in classical harmony classes at a conservatoire, and has collaborated with singers, short films' directors and sound-design agencies.

His meeting with the choreographer Carolyn Carlson in 2003, led him to devote himself to music for dance. He is the music author of her solo "Double Vision", "Immersion", "Wind Woman", "Synchronicty" ballets… and improvised on piano regularly during her masterclasses.
He also composes for others contemporary and hip-hop dance companies, espacially Brahim Bouchelaghem ("Hiya", "Sillons", "Usure"…). 

He was nominated for the 2009 Qwartz Electronic Music Awards (Album «  Clepsydre »). His music combines contemplation and emotion, exploring electronic and minimalist and genres. His pieces unfold as a series of landscapes, progressive and organic pulses.
