Developing Of Origins is Hekum's first solo EP. A few months ago he signed, along with three other producers, a release on 30D Close Encounters, a subsidiary of 30D Records that releases in EP format and only includes one track per artist. Now, with this new work, we can see how this Italian producer establishes a different sound for his debut on Faut Section.

Developing Of Origins is specially designed for the dancefloor filled with syncopated and fervent rhythms, forging a dirty and futuristic atmosphere. It's focusing on rhythmic and intersected grooves, metallic overtones and a sense of roughness that run throughout the Ep. This process determines the cyclic and ever-growing conflict between chaos and order and therefore is an expression of life.

Electronic music producer and DJ based in Berlin, working under the moniker ELM. The name was inspired by a book I read during my teenage years, where elm trees served as gathering points for traveling artists—places of rest, exchange, and inspiration. That image resonated deeply with me and continues to inform my creative philosophy. I see ELM as a sonic shelter of sorts—where ideas take root, and contrasts between light and shadow, energy and introspection, are explored through sound.

My work focuses on crafting immersive, narrative-driven experiences through electronic music. Drawing from the more unconventional sides of techno, I blend intricate rhythms with bold lead elements, textured noise, and atmospheric layers. Each composition is designed to guide the listener through a journey—both physical and emotional—using sound as a storytelling tool.

In addition to producing and performing, I compose music for film and visual media, where I can explore another dimension of narrative and mood. With over a decade of DJ experience, I’ve had the opportunity to perform at respected venues and festivals across India and Berlin—experiences that continue to shape my approach to both live performance and studio production.
