Lights Out Premiere: Patrick Siech - Acid Monday [Parabel]

Affin releases a new album called "Reshape" which contains musical interpretations by Alva Noto, ASC, bvdub, Warmth, Markus Guentner, Simone Giudice, zakè and Głós. The works are related to original pieces from Joachim Spieth's past creative phase and thus form a musical conclusion to the 15th label anniversary of Affin. Monument premieres Alva Noto`s remodel of the track "Sparsha" which will be released on the 16th of December.

The Serbian producer, a key figure in the Balkan scene and founding member of the E75 collective, showcases his signature fusion of raw electro and techno elements in this release, proving why he has remained at the forefront of the genre for over 20 years.

The EP emerges as a sonic manifesto where technical precision meets unrelenting attitude. From the opening bars of Robotech Pt 1, with its menacing basslines and distorted synths, it’s clear this is material crafted for moving crowds in the darkest corners of the underground. Civil Rights heightens the tension with intricate rhythmic patterns and acidic leads, while Moving Back and Forth ventures into more hypnotic territory without sacrificing an ounce of energy. The closing track, Robotech Pt 2, serves as the perfect epilogue, condensing the essence of Alavux’s sound into six minutes of metallic percussion, granulated bass, and the apocalyptic atmosphere that has earned him support from icons like Dave Clarke.

A decade after his breakout Octagon EP on Bass Agenda Recordings, this new release on Urban Kick Recordings reaffirms Alavux as a consistent and visionary force in contemporary electro. Bitrate stands as an essential sonic document for understanding the genre’s evolution in the third decade of the 21st century, preserving underground ethos while pushing technical and creative boundaries.

Premiere: Alavux - Robotech Pt 01 [Urban Kick Recordings]

Spammerheads, the Valencia-based duo known for their raw electronic sound, have been steadily cementing their reputation as one of the most solid projects in the new Spanish EBM scene. They now return with The Mire Chronicles. This new work, released by Banshees Records, is a sonic artifact born from catharsis. In the wake of the devastating floods that struck Valencia in October 2024, the group not only lost part of their studio but also witnessed the destruction and the subsequent wave of solidarity firsthand. From this traumatic experience, loaded with conflicting emotions, emerges their most personal, cohesive, and powerfully moving album to date.

If their previous work, Disclaimer (2024), certified them as a leading force in EBM, The Mire Chronicles deepens and expands that sound with a visceral narrative. The band maintains its unmistakable backbone of relentless sequences, abrasive basslines, and an industrial atmosphere inherited from the old school of the 80s.

However, here they incorporate nuances and textures that reflect the album's emotional journey. Powerlessness and shock are translated into desolate soundscapes and heavy, crawling rhythms, while fury and resilience erupt in peaks of controlled aggression. The production, meticulously detailed, is both raw and crisp, allowing each element, however harsh, to occupy its own space to maximize emotional impact.

Their evolution is palpable. From Espai, Temps i Materia and Bricks for Reconstruction to the essential Tar Blood / Cement Skin, Spammerheads have demonstrated a commendable capacity for growth, which culminates in the artistic maturity of The Mire Chronicles.

The album's greatest strength lies in its powerful narrative concept. It functions as a chronicle—a sonic diary that navigates the collective states of mind in the face of a catastrophe. The six main tracks (expanded to eight with the digital bonus tracks) are chapters in a story of loss and resilience.

Premiere: Spammerheads - Shocking Days [Banshees Records]

Scottish Power is a project born from the collaboration between Paulitcal and New Town Ground, the minds behind the label Still Distant Records. The label has built its identity on a seemingly contradictory foundation: the raw brutality of industrial metal and the rhythmic angst of post-punk, all filtered through the relentless lens of techno and electronic music.

Three years after the release of their third EP, the duo takes a new turn toward the "psychotic." Far from the conception of techno as a genre of polished, gleaming tracks for the dance floor, Scottish Power's vision is the opposite. Theirs is a dark, visceral, and aggressive form of techno, drawing directly from the primitive roots of EBM and the blunt-force aesthetic of industrial. Over this rhythmic foundation, the duo incorporates flashes of mind-bending acid lines and touches of abstract electronics that destabilize perception. The result is a proposal with a complex and twisted narrative.

Psychological Meltdown stands as the natural and most refined evolution of their sound. The EP demonstrates a renewed emphasis on the density and detail of its textures, creating layers of sound that invite deep, almost tactile listening. The four original tracks that comprise it function like interchangeable parts of the same heavy, complex, and perfectly functioning machinery, an unstoppable gear moving with the precision of an assembly line and the ferocity of a hydraulic hammer.

Premiere: Scottish Power - PUSH! [Still Distant Records]

Leiche (the German word for 'corpse') is the new solo project from Marco Donnarumma, one-half of Dadub alongside Daniele Antezza, and a Berlin-based sound artist. The project retains the visceral intensity and spatial depth characteristic of his work, but with a distinct approach, as it deliberately explores the threshold between harmony and distortion, the musical and the noisy. By fusing the rawness of extreme metal, the sound design of sci-fi cinema and anime, and the technique of virtuoso instrumentalists, Leiche forges a unique, hybrid musical language.

Annihilating Grace of Infinity, its debut release, presents itself as a collection of nine pieces woven into an ambitious and fully immersive sonic journey, a work that constructs its own universe from the confines of a single instrument. The album transports you to a vast, desolate soundscape where distortion, sometimes subtle and at other times more overt, functions as the very atmosphere.

The undeniable protagonist of this experience is the manipulation of the electric bass. Far from its conventional rhythmic role, the instrument is completely reinvented through an arsenal of effects pedals and a feedback system. The result is a surprisingly diverse sonic palette, ranging from deep drones to granulated textures and rhythmic sequences generated by the bass itself. The fact that it is based on a live recording adds a layer of raw, unpredictable grit.

Throughout its development, the album masterfully handles contrast, playing with duality through moments of faint, fragile luminosity and the gravity of a deep, pessimistic sonic core. This constant tension is the engine that drives the album's narrative. Annihilating Grace of Infinity is an exploration of the boundaries of sound, a demonstration of how the destruction of an instrument's conventional norms can give birth to a new world, complex and fascinatingly beautiful.

Samuel Kerridge emerged onto the music scene with remarkable force during the past decade, propelled by a meteoric rise that, from his very first releases, demonstrated significant artistic maturity. From the outset, his work conveyed solidity and depth; his feat, perhaps, lay in his ability to transfigure the codes of techno and adapt them to inhospitable sonic environments, all filtered through a unique and deeply personal vision.

This distinctive approach draws from a deliberately diverse spectrum of influences, ranging from drone and industrial music to post-punk, dark ambient, abstract electronics, and even metal riffs. It was this amalgamation of qualities, this powerful and singular sonic identity, that immediately marked him as a producer to watch and established him as a cornerstone of the influential label Downwards, founded by his compatriot Regis.

Now, Samuel Kerridge returns to reaffirm his status with Memoir of Disintegration, his sixth studio album. The work stands as a convergence point where the key experiences and influences that have defined his trajectory perfectly crystallize. Across eleven tracks, the author focuses on weaving complex rhythmic sequences based on polyrhythms, erecting industrial textures of tangible roughness, and applying granular sound treatments that flirt with the territories of noise. All of this is framed within corrosive ambient landscapes, creating an atmosphere of oppressive and hypnotic beauty.

Electronics, in their purest and most twisted form, act as the binding element, mixing masterfully with all these raw ingredients and endowing the whole with a sophisticated, cerebral IDM touch. Memoir of Disintegration stands out as a work of exceptional creativity and elaboration, an album that confirms Kerridge's evolution and solidifies his position as an essential and provocative visionary on the fringes of the contemporary electronic scene.

SRIE Records is a label with a very determined musical line, it is evident that Pulso, its maximum responsible, created this project in its image and likeness, with a very personal style directed to a part of the electronic music that mixes techno with the technological sound of the science fiction film genre. This music genre has advanced with the evolution of the synthesizers, years ago it was possible to emulate the cosmic sounds only with the theremin, but nowadays those buzzes are more versatile and easier to obtain.

Kinks In Time is the next release from SRIE Records. The Italian producer Davide Di Bernardo, known artistically as Mystics, signs his debut in this label with an EP in which we can find 3 original tracks and a version by his compatriot Divide. Core Melts, Ophelia and Temporal Paradox are three dynamic tracks, created within a harmonic environment with arpeggios that multiply and intertwine between them. With the Divide remix on Temporal Paradox, the intensity is even greater.
