For their 6th EP, Art Bei Ton invites the talented French DJ and producer VBK. Her six-track journey explores the borders of hypnotic and trippy techno, pushing toward the uplifting side of the genre.
 
Dynamic and deep, each piece is crafted to draw the listener into a layered sonic space, balancing intensity with rhythmic textures. The EP features a collaborative track with the Moroccan artist Zaatar and a remix from Tadan.

Opening the EP with some halftime ritualistic drum sounds, "Concern" sets the tone with a hypnotic groove that gradually unfolds into a dense and immersive atmosphere.

The Portuguese producer Nørbak reappears again on the Madrid label Warm Up after two years, this time with a voluminous release, with an extensive album that shows a more versatile character of the artist himself, since he does not stick to his usual sci-fi sound.

Flesh to Ashes is an album with a clear direction towards techno that usually shows the catalogue of Oscar Mulero's label, however, the concept, in this occasion, is wider, and the destination of his musical contribution is more distributed, it is not concentrated in a specific public or in a particular sound, but it manages to express with different answers what techno means nowadays and all that this genre entails.

Each track requires a different technique, we can distinguish and catalogue very different expressions in each of them. The first one, called Intro, exercises as its title indicates, as a short preamble that prepares you placidly for a sound combat. What follows is a succession of techno interpretations, with the depth and groove of tracks like Genese and Land of Sin, the dynamism of Duductible Ethic and Collective Disbelief, the hypnotism of Rune Value and Interference of Authority, the cosmic abyss of Flesh to Ashes, the introspective sound of Camera or the mysticism of the Third Morality.

Uto Karem kick starts 2021 with a new EP on his label @agile-recordings that’s been made in collaboration with Gaston Zani who recently charted No.1 on Beatport.

Gaston Zani and Uto Karem recently joined forces for tracks released by Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave and UMEK’s 1605. Following the success of those releases, the guys are back with a two-track EP made in their usual style of peak-time techno.

One of the people who pioneered techno in the Neapolitan region of Italy, Uto Karem has been releasing music for over two decades including releases on iconic labels such as Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 ranging through to others such as Dubfire's SCI+TEC.

Continuing to rise through the ranks, Gaston Zani is one of the most exciting artists out there right now, and this is backed up by releases on labels such as Eats Everything’s EI8HT, Sian’s Octopus, and Carl Cox’s Intec.

Each of the tracks blends a dark atmosphere with industrial textures to create hypnotic techno perfect for peak-time plays.

“Pisces” opens the release with its raw kick drum and thrashing off-beat percussion before introducing acid stabs and muffled vocals. Raising the intensity, the tracks lift up a gear with its fluttering bursts of arpeggio before the Detroit influenced stabs deliver the knock out blow for an explosive finish.

“Kontrol” builds with swelling tension as the rolling snares and fast-flowing synth line create a high-velocity groove. Frantic and unrelenting, its enthralling momentum is like a tidal wave of surging energy that’s set to engulf the dance floor.

We've decided to start this new year with Fergus Sweetland. @fsweetland is a Melbourne based DJ/Producer and tributary to his local techno scene as @bomphcast channel's owner. 
Invested in electronic music since 2007, his sound is a blend of sonic influences and other genres from accross his life such as Jazz, House and Psychoaccoustic. All these inspirations mixed together sign his unique contemporary techno sound. 
He recently signed an excellent EP for the portuguese label @hayescollective
