NODE is a platform that started in 2017 as a cycle of musical proposals in Barcelona, with events oriented towards the city's club scene and a sound expressly aimed at techno.  Among the objectives that were set from the beginning, it is worth highlighting the good atmosphere and the synchrony between the dancefloor and the stage, and always maintaining the habit of having national and international artists such as Anthony Linell, Shifted, Psyk, Svreca, ORBE, Architectural or Luigi Tozzi among many others in the booth.

This philosophy of always having different artists of great level for each event, is also transferred to their recording activity, as there is no release that is composed by a single author, each artist participates with a single track. 

Dario Duegra, who is at the helm of this project, founded NODE Recordings in 2020 as a fraction of the platform, maintaining and transmitting the identity of the musical concept. This September, coinciding with its third anniversary, the label launches Neural Haze, the first reference of this label released on vinyl format.
 
The Italian CONCEPTUAL opens with Selva Oscura, a cut that mixes intensity with the hypnotism caused by the continuous succession of patterns that modulate gradually. And this description can be perfectly applicable to the remaining 5 tracks, as Noir, by Dario Duegra, Dex31, a cut by the Argentinian Farceb, Thorax, by the Spanish producer ORBE, and No Fear, a track by the also Italian Sciahri, follow a similar pattern to the first cut, with linear techno and a lot of pressure. On the other hand, Out of Time, which is the closing track of the album and is signed by the Detroit artist Uun, is a much more mental and less solid techno, however, the psychological factor is basically created with a very detailed and elaborate combination of percussive elements, especially in terms of panning.

Uun's techno blends widescreen grayscale imagery with propulsive dancefloor pressure. Whether crafting what Hardwax dubs "straight ahead techno juggernauts" or deep, introspective tools, his work is grounded in a masterful command of atmosphere and texture. 

Uun developed his interest in fringe sounds as a guitarist and drummer in his hometown of Kansas City before shifting his attention to electronic music in 2012. This led him to relocate to Detroit, where he spent seven years pushing deeper into the underground techno scene, refining his production and performance methods. Between the Midwest and  several periods in Berlin—another city he's found a deep connection to—he's honed a style that's allowed his music to nimbly navigate between different subgenres, "quietly infiltrating" the genre from multiple angles at once. 

Uun's sound and his ability to mold it into a variety of forms has captured the attention of lauded techno labels like Mord, Semantica, and Soma. On his own Ego Death imprint, he pushes past genre confines and deeper into his music's underlying themes, exploring existentialism, duality, and the role of the artist in the modern era. His first full length, 2022's Derealization, interrogated dreams through rebuilding memories of liminal spaces, and on his latest Ego Death release, 2024's Platform Decay, he laces his tracks with a poignant criticism of social media-driven cultural homogenization while doubling down on his own uncompromising sound. 

As a live performer, Uun distills years of his studio practice into cathartic sets that build off his productions while pushing them into exploratory new territory. His live show has taken him to legendary clubs like Berlin's Tresor, Tbilisi's Khidi, Detroit's Movement Festival, and Brookyln's Basement, and alongside the decade-plus of releases under his belt, it's safe to say Uun's infiltration of techno might not be so quiet for much longer.
