Qrion releases her electrifying new single ‘Proud’, taken from her upcoming debut album ‘I Hope It Lasts Forever’, which lands October 29 via Anjunadeep.

A spicy club anthem, ’Proud’ is the third single to come from Qrion’s debut album. Featuring an elated vocal hook sampled from Deniece Williams’ rendition of The Impression's single ‘I’m So Proud’ on an addictive four-to-the-floor rhythm, ‘Proud' evokes that true hand-in-the-air feeling. The track joins an acclaimed catalogue supported by the likes of Danny Howard at BBC Radio 1 and Jason Bentley at KCRW, as well as prolific producers such as TSHA, Moon Boots, Lane 8, The Aston Shuffle, 3LAU, and Gorgon City.

An album built on nostalgia and sentimentality, ‘I Hope It Lasts Forever' pays homage to Qrion’s memories childhood and her dad, and captures the feelings she felt when moving from her hometown of Sapporo to San Francisco to pursue a career in music. Speaking on the album, Qrion exclaims “I connected with my old memories - the feelings of spending time with my Dad, the time I lived with my family in Japan, and the small but important moments of my life from my life in Sapporo.”

‘I Hope It Lasts Forever' is the latest triumph in a career that’s seen Qrion release on Mad Decent, Last Night on Earth, and This Never Happened, and be named on Forbes Japan’s 30 Under 30, adding to notable support from the likes of Clash, Mixmag and The Fader. Having shared the stage with Above & Beyond, Porter Robinson, Deadmau5, and Tourist, Qrion now takes to the road with her own headline tour across North America in support of the album.

Above & Beyond return to the dance floor with ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 1’, a collection of five heavy-hitting club records, calling back to their instrumental roots. 

The GRAMMY-nominated founders of Anjunabeats have been quiet of late. Following six months of studio hibernation after their sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations at Banc of California Stadium last October, Jono, Paavo and Tony have been busy working on their next extended project.   This April, they make their return to the dance floor, with two sold-out shows for Printworks London’s closing season, and a love letter to their instrumental club past: the launch of the ‘Tranquility Base EP’ series. 

Above & Beyond’s Tranquility Base alias was revered for its contribution to the trance genre, including iconic records such as ‘Surrender’, ‘Oceanic’ and ‘Razorfish’. The ‘Tranquility Base EP’ series showcases the current instrumental records firmly lodged in Jono, Paavo and Tony’s record boxes. 

Above & Beyond’s ‘Angry JP8’, the electro-edged lead single off ‘Tranquility Base Vol. 1 is out now, with the full EP arriving May 25.

PAWSA jokingly asserts that, had he not chosen music as a career, he would have moved to Botswana to become a big cat expert at a wildlife reserve.

Embracing the world of house & techno seems to have been the right decision. This was clearly illustrated by a strong debut EP on Lost Records that reached number 6 on the Beatport Tech House charts. With further appearances on pioneering labels such as Relief and Deep Tech Records there is no doubt that PAWSA is making a far-reaching impact on the musical landscape.

The London-based cat finds himself inspired by the late nights/ early mornings spent at his favorite locations in London, Berlin and Ibiza. PAWSA highly values his own dedicated following of established producers and DJ’s who show full support of his analogue, yet contemporary sound.

PAWSA has a quixotic approach to the art of DJing, cultivated by many years of regularly playing out. He strongly believes in creating a special atmosphere to connect the listeners. Somewhat old fashioned in his approach to mixing, PAWSA humbly hopes that his sets never fail to leave a powerful lasting impression.

Today's exclusive premiere, ‘The Shapeshifter’ from his latest EP "Stage Two", delves into deep territory with subterranean notes, reverbed percussion and a playful melody.

It’s almost Christmas time and here, at elrow Music, we want to start the celebration with a big comeback to our releases ranks. Label boss and tech-house honcho De La Swing is back with a three tracker EP of two originals and one high rolling remix, by the one and only Mathias Kaden. ‘Everyday EP’ opens up with the title track, ‘Everyday (Original Mix)’, a track with a steady but soft percussion, a hip-hopish vocal line that sings about love, and a nice 90’s infused melody by the middle of the track, with an overall vibe that everyone associates with elrow and its parties. Then we have ‘Creeper (Original Mix)’, that opens with a swifter percussion and starts in full energy thanks to that exotic vocal line we hear in the back of the track. With FX coming and going, the synth treatment De La Swing uses is just mind-blowing and will make the crowd lose it in the middle of the dancefloor, making this carnivalesque track perfect for the busiest times in the dancefloor. Finally, closing the EP, we have Mathias Kaden’s remix of De La Swing’s ‘Everyday (Mathias Kaden’s Repitch Remix)’, in which the German producer twist the original track with a steadier and faster vibe, a bit harder, also distorting and playing with the vocal line and keeping the melodies, making it a more playful tune and fitter for peak times in the floor. Resuming, one huge delivery by the label boss De La Swing, that showcases his great moment, and an amazing re-interpretation by Kaden, who has perfectly understood what elrow Music’s line is all about.
