"Are you a one or a zero?"

I keep on repeating this question to myself all day long.
We all have our own dreams, our own goals, our own causes we fight for. We carry our own revolution, one where we keep on fighting against all odds in order for these dreams to become true. Call it overcoming your fears, working on your own projects or dedicating your life to becoming who you want to be: this shit takes time, effort, it drains us yet here we are, fighting on the front line in our revolution.

The answer to the question below is quite obvious: if you step back, if you leave your revolution, you become a zero. If you stay, if you keep on fighting, you become a one. No one said it would be easy. It certainly isn't easy. But it isn't impossible.

So, I'll ask you again: Are you a one or a zero?

This is a track I made while being deeply inspired by the mindset I've acquired in the last 2 years. The influences that contributed to said mindset are mainly two: Mr. Robot and i_o.

Mr. Robot is the TV show that not only opened my eyes about computers, but also showed me the spirit of fighting for what you cherish. It's the show where I took the "are you a one or a zero" quote from. It also included "Love On A Real Train" on its soundtrack, and I was inmediately hooked to it as soon as I heard it.

i_o is, by far, the artist that has impacted me the most. Not only because his music is incredible, but because he was one of the most authentic persons I've ever known of. His music, his style, his charisma was unique and authentic, and allowed him to do his own thing in a way I've never seen anyone else do before. Don't sell your soul to whatever the public wants or someone else says. You do you, and no one else can do you.

Combine the hardworker spirit from Mr. Robot and the importance of being authentic from i_o, and you get what I meant on the text below. This track is a call for everyone to fight for their own dreams, while looking for authenticity and meaning in their actions.
