"Know where you come from to know where you're going."

This is what has led Sasha Bogdanoff lately as a woman and as an artist.
After a few years of modeling, travelling, and music studies, Sasha focused on what had become essential for her: finding her African-American family, following the steps of her great-grandfather, Roland Hayes , the first internationally recognized black opera singer.
The path that led her to the reunion with her great-aunt Africa and her daughters, in Boston, will inspire her the EP "Back to Roots" and the music video "Mississippi Blues". Above all, it will give her the legitimacy to respond to this irrepressible call of soul music that has always pursued her.
Her roots have also driven her towards Africa. Her quest continued in Ivory Coast, where her ancestor was once uprooted. "Tohidu" was born from finding her African roots. 

Sasha is now working on a new project that will soon be released.

C’est ce qui a guidé Sasha ces dernières années en tant que femme et en tant qu’artiste.
Après les années de mannequinat, de nombreux voyages, et des études de musique, Sasha s’attache à ce qui est devenu pour elle essentiel : retrouver sa famille afro-américaine, marcher sur les traces de son arrière-grand-père, Roland Hayes, premier chanteur d’opéra noir reconnu internationalement.
Le parcours qui mène aux retrouvailles avec sa grand-tante Africa et ses filles, à Boston, lui inspirera son EP «Back to Roots» et le clip «Mississippi blues»,  mais surtout lui donnera la légitimité de répondre à cet appel irrépressible de la soul qui la poursuit depuis toujours.
Mais ses racines l’appellent aussi immanquablement en Afrique. La quête continue en Côte d’Ivoire d’où a été arraché jadis son ancêtre. De cette nouvelle découverte naîtra «Tohidu» et bientôt un futur album entre soul, folk et world music, actuellement en préparation.
