Embracing some of the most pointedly direct sounds on the series so far, PM+ welcomes the rapidly rising talents of Emily Jeanne into the fold for two transcendental trips par excellence. 

In recent years Jeanne has firmly established herself as a luminary within Belgium’s club scene and beyond, offering a widescreen approach to the dancefloor as beautifully demonstrated on her 2020 album Public By Default. While there has been steady stream of tracks appearing on compilations in the mean time, it’s taken a while to hear a fresh standalone release from an artist displaying so much creativity in her prolific DJ work. 

Elegance is the name of the game on these two measured workouts, leading in with the smoky meditation and insistent propulsion of ‘Blue Dawn’ before switching to the broken, machine funk-plated formation of ‘Ao Sen’. There’s a sense of adventure and progression in both instances, as well as a keen instinct for making moodiness sound engaging and warm - an assured shot in the arm for the self-serious techno crowd.

Naaah, mainly, but not only - for the seventh episode of Contra stare, Brno's cutest bass bbies Count and Albert Wawracz came together for a two-hour-long b2b filled up with the best of the past and current UK sound. You can thus also expect some drum, jungle and garage tunes, 4/4, broken and confused rhythms, we arranged alla that to be in the context of contemporary club electronics, percussive and 36Hz heavy for your headbangers. And since dubstep does not only stand for the disillusion and frustration from the dominance of neoliberal capitalism (as its pioneers experienced at the start of the millennium and as we do live through it now), but for the psychedelic resistance too, wait for the end of the mix, some trance steppers will clash with the essence of these syncopated grooves. Gunfingeeeers!

Parule taps in with a five-track EP that explores different tempos and ventures into new sonic territories while maintaining some of his signature elements.

Stoned Squirrel opens the EP with a slow, head-nodding groove driven by a filtered acid hook and rattling percussions.

Off Shore follows as a stripped-back roller, evoking a hypnotic, submerged atmosphere.
Chants nods to Parule’s earlier work—fast-paced electro that dances between breakbeats and squelching acid lines.

Laufbahn is stripped down, raw and agonizing. Like running in circles with a broken foot.
Fujiyama pushes into the 160 BPM realm, weaving in lyrics and vocal textures from ŽEN's "Lov na crne tipke", a track Parule obsessed over throughout the past year.
