Up next in our #IWD2022 mix series is the incredibly talented mayo. 

Amsterdam’s @mayotunes is a musical multiped, whose path is rather unruly than unlogical. Her DJ sets, as well as her first releases, prove that she’s not easy to pigeonhole. With a focus on downtempo electronics, EBM and techno, she weaves together a wide array of musical styles.

Inspired by many musical styles, ranging from rock music to reggaeton, mayo eventually moved towards DJing and music production, which would channel her unstoppable energy best. With whatever available to her, she managed to brew her experimental sounds into electronic punk music carrying her uncompromised disposition of character.

Her mix combines driving saturated drum percussion with glitch infused textures and low end wobble, to form a serious pulsation of electronica.

dMIT.RY has been occupying local & international dj-booths for over 14 years. During that time he went through various club music phases, soaking in many influences, not sticking to one style and always on the hunt for the next fresh thing while respecting the roots.

Although currently in sleep mode, his label Neo Violence gained decent worldwide attention during the so-called lo-fi house era with 4 vinyl & 23 digital releases featuring names from all over the globe, such as J.Albert, Low Tape or Rudolf C to name a few.

Apart from having many residencies around Prague clubs and a number of international guests introduced to their dance floors, dMIT.RY has been taking care of bookings at a popular Groove Bar for 8 years now, providing opportunities to newcomers and established local DJs.
Radio is yet another long-term activity on his list. Apart from being a resident host on Žižkovs Radio Punctum since its early beginnings, he also held a bi-monthly show on Rinse France for 3 years presenting latest & upcoming club releases to the world.

And to top it all off, it is noteworthy to mention his appearance at Berlins HÖR as part of Neo Violence showcase or his mix for Crack Magazine which is focused on CZ/SK producers.

This week we go deep into the Amsterdam underground and welcome 42nd Avenue to the series. The Maastricht-born Amsterdam-based selector has been a mainstay for years, earning his stripes in illegal raves back in the day at places like Waterhouse with the Sonorous Cell crew, or more recently as a resident DJ for the talented Kraft und Licht crew. Over the years, he's shared the stage with Adam Pits, Eversines, D. Tiffany, and many others. His selection is typical of Amsterdam which covers deep acid, electro-tinted bangers, and dub including tracks by local gem Jasmin, Lurka, Laurel Halo & Hodge, Equiknoxx. Lock in!

Based in Kraków, Charlie runs the party Szum, where she joins the dots between icy Electro and euphoric Italo. For years now she's been mastering her craft as a DJ, both at local parties and further afield, most recently at underground spots in Leipzig, Berlin [with the Mechatronica crew] and with Olivia in Zurich for Lux Institute. 

A talented and unique producer, Charlie has releases on labels such as Dom Trojqa, Mechatronica and a recent 7" on Ferry Lane Records - which includes a remix by none other than Italo Disco legend Flemming Dalum. Electronic music aside, Charlie is a skilled Pianist, and over the years has contributed work to both performances and movies.

Polly-Rhythm is my debut track. I was releasing music in the past using different aliases until my life went into a completely different direction. Despite that, I never stopped fueling my passion for producing and deejaying.
