Lebanese DJ and producer Arabian Panther, famed for his keffiyah stage mask and his distinctive sound which can transition swiftly from a warrior’s march anthem to a club banger tinged with Arabic scales and instrumentals. His dynamic sets and productions pay homage to his multicultural heritage as a French child from the Lebanese diaspora, demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinian cause. 

Arabian Panther’s journey of solidarity commenced with the release of his EP ‘Desert’s Anthem’ in 2019, which caught the attention of Palestinian DJ Odai Masri, aka Oddz and helped him forge connections within the Palestinian music scene. After signing his first track with the first Palestinian techno label ‘Harara’ – managed by the late great Oddz.

For our 230th episode of Select, Arabian Panther has created a set exclusively for SceneNoise, which he recorded in one take at his home. The set is infused with some of his favourite tunes that he has been incorporating into his sets over the past year, along with a selection of tracks from his latest EP, ‘The Death of the Panther’, which he released on Ritmo Fatale on March 22nd of this year.

Featuring his own original tracks like ‘Hafla For Our Dead’, as well as ‘Lala Torkia’ by Cheb Hamar and more, the 66-minute set begins with an eclectic mix of Palestinian Dabke music, incorporating classic Middle Eastern instrumentals like Tabla, Mezmar, and Darbuka drums, which serve as the base for the set. Jana is a Cairo based DJ, music producer and multi-instrumentalist with extensive musical background, considered to be one of the youngest artists in Cairo's small yet growing underground music scene. A lot of her mixes bridge the gap between western beats and Arab/Egyptian sound experimentation, with inspirations from drum'n' bass, break beat, hip-hop and underground Egyptian music.

After making several notable appearances on our Crysta Ampullaris compilation series, Ayuji finally unveils his debut EP 'New Borders' on La Forge. As skilled on the keyboard as behind the decks, he has been shaping spiritual, energetic and hypnotic electronic music as part of the collective since 2019. The four tracks, crafted over the past two years between France and the Indian Ocean, are greatly influenced by travel, its philosophy, its initiatory nature and its ability to transcend us by confronting us with otherness.

Deploying a sonic palette oscillating between techno, trance and progressive house, Ayuji plays with contrasts and finds the perfect balance between groove and melody. He manages to coexist the vast expanses of his travels with the sweaty intimacy of the club, making ‘New Borders’ an EP calibrated as much for listening as for the dancefloor.

The result is four euphoric, introspective, and psychedelic tracks, from the enchanting melodies of 'The Way Of The Shaman' to the psychedelic textures of 'First Contact' and 'Planet Inferno' to the resolution of 'Dina Morgabin', a sweet reverie over an irresistible ternary rhythm.

brainwave research center returns with their 3rd Electronic music LP. Their DIY approach to
creating music has forged a unique sound that is not experimental music, but music born out of experimentations with analog synthesizers.

Feel Free is the third installment of their first four part series and captures the feelings and
emotions of a summer season. The A-side begins with a soundtrack to a daydream; imagining
the life of a earthworm. Followed by a teeth-grinding drive through the grime of Brooklyn streets in Interceptor iii. Side A finishes out with that summer euphoria that comes from laying in the grass under the sun through dusk and watching the moon rise.

The B-side begins in a startling manner; an attempt to capture the feeling of falling in your
dreams. The music continues down a darker path that reminds us of their second LP, Mosaic,
with electronic experiments mixed with acoustic elements. The side concludes with two songs
that capture the nostalgic feelings of summer.

Feel Free offers you a glimpse into the musings of everyday life for brainwave research center.

The 2x12“ vinyl is limited to 100 copies, hand-numbered and comes with a printed sleeve and a silk-screen A2 poster with a version of the artwork by Elzo Durt.
Minimum Syndicat (also known as MS or M-Syndicat) are two musicians from Paris who have been making electronic noise and live performances for decades. They are known for their very unique mix of acid, rave and industrial on the one hand and cinematic, psychedelic, sci-fi landscapes on the other.
S.C.H.O.R.L. is their first full length album. Like some kind of bleak space opera it tells its story of lonely subaquatic outposts, Soviet droids and mantis-priests gathering. The core is spaced out electro, but it also has elements of techno, doomcore, breakbeat and industrial, one could say. "At this point subgenres are less important than in the past, it's more like the alternative electronic scene against the industry turning techno into moronic money-driven entertainment.“, they say, and right they are, so let's end this here.
The album features two collaborations with French heavyweights Umwelt and Voiron, the artwork comes from the legendary Belgian artist Elzo Durt, who made some of our strongest artworks in the past and who is a fan of Minimum Syndicat himself.

MS will also be releasing a special series of digital releases called "Mutant Signal“ on their own label.
