You know, for as much as he talks himself up, our newest arrival is actually a pretty nice guy. He's been taking to this well, bringing a... grounded look to all of this. It seems everyone here has a very unique viewpoint, but this guy's just a kid from Compton. Sure, he's seen some shit from what I'm hearing, but he's not a squid kid, or a giant killer boombox, or a... whatever AFTER HOURS is. I dunno, it kind of reminds me of home before Second Heaven. To think, once upon a time we lived in a world where this wasn't a problem. Nobody'd even entertained the thought of a "zombie invasion". 

I remember being eighteen. Young and dumb, curious about the world. Now I'm 43 and I just want everyone to stop dying all the damn time. Funny how priorities shift.

God, I fucking hate surprises.
