New York stand up, there's a new cat from Brooklyn, New York City that is doing his damn thang!!!

When did you start making music and was there a person or artist that inspired you to start writing songs and hit the studio?
I started spitting by 4th grade. But i been done with school for years. The homie Shabazz the Disciple and hell razah is from my block 
so there is Some inspiration there. But my little cousin DonDay showed me how to write. I got serious about making music and started hitting the studio on my own.
 
Let’s talk about your latest project, its sounding really tight. Who features on it, who dealt with the production and how long did it take to make? 
The x3m junkyard project. I had three joints on it . The title track ''junkard'', ''No stress'' and my group Royal Statiz ''Skamatics of a gold mine'' joint. It was a 123 process for me. X3m produced all of the tracks and added live instruments to the No stress song.
 
How would you describe the music that you make? I know it’s hard to compare yourself to other artists and styles, but what kind of vibe is your music on?
I been inspired by all of the greats . Nas,meth,Snoop,Dmx, Some fans compare me to killah priste and chief kamacie. Some say they never heard and artist like me before ever. I have a deep molitic abtrack smooth street flow. You have to check for your self.
  
What do you enjoy the most about the whole process of recording and writing music? Is there something that you absolutely love and is there anything that maybe you don’t like doing as much?  
I love to recored in high end studio by myself or who im working with. I get a thrill out of playing my music back on big speakers. I can zone to a record for hours. I challenge my self when i write. I don't like when there is a time limit and when there is to much going on.
 
Are you releasing your music on your own label or do you have a team that is aiming to help you get signed to a major?
Im currently looking for a home on a trusted major. Im putting it out my self through Piranah Bricks Inc and London base indie Sup peeps records.
 
How are you getting your project out there? Do you have a distributor involved or maybe some shops/websites stocking & supporting your music?
The internet works wonders. I been hitting the streets and rocking shows any where with a mic and turn tables.
 
Getting radio play can be hard for unsigned Hip-Hop artists, but have you had any radio play and if so what DJ’s and stations have supported you? 
A  lot of stations been picking me up at this point. coast to coast dj thomas handsome , fleet radio dj's,canada dj sage CFRO 102.7 FM, To name a few. 
 
Do you enjoy playing live? Have you done many gigs and what kind of artists have you supported or played alongside?
I enjoy the rush of smashing a good show. 
 
Let’s talk image and branding for a minute. Some artists spend lots of money on artwork and other acts aren’t that interested. How important is image, artwork and branding to you?
Im really being myself. Originality is the key for me. As of branding it's for the underground and mainstream audiences.
 
What was the last album you brought and apart from Hip-Hop what other genres of music do you listen too? 
It was prodigy H.n.i.c.2 and rakim 7th seal. I like to listen to reggae, the blues and jazzy music.
 
Have you got any videos on You Tube and have any ever got played on TV Stations? 
I have the Royal Statiz - LOYAL TO THE PALACE.  R.o.c.c.a.- U Drunk video. Infinite Marvelous freestyles and songs.
No tv station just the web right now.
 
So what does the future hold for you as an artist? Have you got any big plans that you can tell us about before you go? 
It's a bright future and a lot of opportunities. Im going make a big impact in this business. Im planning on dropping my first album soon. Stay tuned.

Spotted Horse Mixtape - Artist: Infinite Marvelous

“This project is made off the feeling of my hood. Red hook projects. I did this for me and all my people. This story has never been told before. If you know anything about Red Hook projects; it was a hard place to live in growing up in the 70’s and the 80’s.

Not only Al Capone was born here. But there were many other gangstas from my town. A lot of crime and killing was done here. “Before the time before time”. This is how Red Hook got its name. Shipmen and navy sailormen would stop at this port and trade, drink and party and death would occur from this. Red Hook was once called “Green Hook”. The story will tell you how Da Hook became Red. But outside of all of that there are myths and legends and also truth to the story. There is not a lot of proof, so everybody has their own story, bits and pieces of it.

My neighborhood was built on a Indian burial ground. “True fact”. Red Hook is a few blocks off the Hudson river. Our next door neighbor right over from us is the Gowanus projects. Gowanus canal might ring a bell to you. The names of these places sound like an indigenous Indian land. Just for an example: The kids from these neighborhoods all went to school with each other. Some said they had seen things moving in their homes by themselves without people touching them. There was a time something happened to me and I would see things. I would tell people about it but nobody ever believed me.This is the reason why: Some things are too much for people to take in. If they’re not ready they will never believe you. Some things that are shown are not for everybody to see and know.

During the process of me making this project i almost died twice.

I grew up like every other kid in the hood giving out beatings, running the streets, hustling and trying to figure out what was going on and why. I learned how to rap and wanted to be the best at it. I linked up with many rappers from New York City and a few that had the spot light from Red Hook. But there were none that made it to the top mainstream billboard status and stayed there. Nobody ever passed the torch. That goes for Rappers and Gangsters. I guess they think nobody can do it better than they did. What happens to the next in line? Same story of the young man and the old man going at it. You’re not the only one with money and power. I am a main factor in the new generation of my neighborhood. I was born here. I will not cross your paths to hurt you, that goes for any MC. And I will not allow you to cross that line either. But I will whip your ass on a record. These are my roots.

Nobody is doing this right now. My mother and my father are some of the people in my family that helped put this hood on the map. I’m holding it down for my people. We are all family.”

Infinite Marvelous – I am the Spotted Horse.

“Picking up from my last mixtape tape the “Spotted Horse”, hosted by Thomas Handsome where i gave the people that real grimy street flow. I wanted to switch it up a little bit on this High Society vibe.

Me and my dude Jey Lugo of Multitracks productions cooked this up over a few of his beats and other industry beats.
My homie Jey Lugo had a lot of insight of the choice of the sound and the look of the art work. I cooked up the raps and made sure I smashed every song.

There are two special songs on this project. I freestyle them off the head without writing it and the words flowed nice. It was like magic to me. The songs are tracks 3 and track 9 ”Who you think you are” and ”Off to the army”. I blessed this project with topics of gangster love songs with a smooth thug edge and worldly events. Look out for more projects coming in 2014 Enjoy.
