In 1981 two boys with a creative mind were born.
They became childhood friends and grew up together in the western district of Brussels.

Although both of them have developed eclectic and often differing tastes in music as they've gotten older, there always remained a common interest in the dark and macabre, from music and art to lyrics.

As it goes, life happened and took them in different directions. Though never truly losing contact, they recently reconnected and they started talking and brainstorming about making music together, one had an almost finished instrumental piece and the other had work-in-progress lyrics. 

Thus Krottenkopf and their demo song Respek-Tieren were born.
Stylewise they lean towards Neue Deutsche Todeskunst and dark wave, thematically focussing on (in)justice and equal rights, with an emphasis on animal rights.
