The Leftovers (with Loney Dear)

One of my favourite composers is Ennio Morricone, while his work is synonymous with films, if you listen to them on their own, there are many stunning works of art in their own right. Metti una sera vena, from the film of the same name, meaning "Let's Say, an Evening for Dinner", builds and builds with repetitive melodic phrases that absolutely hook into your mind. This is a bit of a work in progress. The breathy female vocals have been replaced with Vocoder. It's not a subtle as the original by a long shot. I might get it professionally mix and mastered once I am happy with all the pieces, it has a wide dynamic range. This is perfect music for driving around the Amalfi coast.

I absolutely love synthesisers and reinterpreting other people's music, as well as writing my own stuff. I literally get lost in music, it's my drug of choice. probably always going to have dollops of that 80s vibe. Working on an album of vocoded covers.
