The Leftovers (with Loney Dear)

This was a journey, was intending to make an electronic thing as usual. But the vocal line really captured me, decided to let the vocal line speak... plus the afro rhythm was super infectious, that took me to think Brazilian. So the track features two duelling TR808s flamming and shuffling their way to a big disco break. I figured less is more, really simple music, multiple bass lines overlaid, some beeps, noise and squeaks, bit of Rhodes, lots of vocal oooh and mmmms. Cr78 backing up the various other drum machines (Linn toms, plus the TR808)), ARP Solina for the high ground. Best played damn loud. Kit: Atruria synths, Rhodes V8, Aly Linn Drum plug in, Native Labs, Cherry Cr78, Elka, Serum, Izotope Neutron 5, Ozone 11, Moog FX plug ins - threw the kitchen sink in software plug ins at this, the file is huge!
