The air was thick with the fog of the morning and the palpable dread of our soldiers as we began to see the formations of the enemy in the dawn’s early light.  The fog gave way to rain and then it began.  The relentless pounding of the trebuchet crashed into the castle walls with a fiery anger that made physical the hateful bloodlust of the screams of our enemy.  Each wall-shaking explosion was echoed by the thunderous yells of the enemy who would soon descend upon us in a stormy wave of murderous hatred.

I saw a report from Ethiopia where a lady had made a thriving  agricultural enterprise by creating good soil by planting lots of trees around her house!

Jag hörde talas om en dam som omvandlade sin jord
från öken till bördiga fält där hon kan plantera sina grödor
hon gjorde det genom att plantera
många träd runt hennes hus där öknen har dykt upp
och träden höll fukten i hennes jord
De gillar inte soluppgången - de längtar efter natten
De gillar inte solskenet - de längtar efter regnet

Du vet att träden ger skugga till växterna
som växer under de gröna lummiga trädtopparna
de ger oss också människor
mycket frisk luft och ge oss skydd mot värmen
och folket där nere får förutsättningar att överleva

Hot Sun
They live in a place where the sun is hot
and sometimes the water supply fails
and all the folks are searching
for to find the lovely wells that can give all their lives back
so that their helth care will be OK
They don’t like the sunrise - they are longing for the night
They don’t like the sunshine - they are longing for the rain

I heard of a lady who turned her soil
from desert to fertile fields where she can plant her crops
she made it by planting
a lot of trees around her house where the desert has turned up
and the trees kept the moist in her soil

You know that the trees provide shade to the plants
which grow under the green leafy tree tops
they also give us people
a lot of fresh air and give us shelter from the heat
and the people down there get conditions to survive
