Throughout the last several years, our beloved Delayed platform has been growing. Each and every day, shining a spotlight upon fresh faces, storied veterans and everyone in between. Building relationships, introducing new ones, always striving to make a mark. Today, I’m overjoyed to help shine the spotlight upon the core of Delayed, the musical north star if you will, that is Gilles Wasserman and Irina Kotik aka Moon Patrol. Hearing and watching their journey deeper into production has been quite the ride. As time passed, each new snippet and track seemed more refined, more complex, more, dare I say, them? To see your friends hitting their stride is a special sight, made all the sweeter by the support they’ve given other artists in days past. I hope they feel a tenth of what they’ve given out.

Fresh off their Moofter release on Laura BCR’s ‘On Board Music’, Moon Patrol’s next offering, ‘Moxie’ dives deep into a world, rich with lush pads, warm percussion, all lending towards painting an auditory motif that would match any of those special morning moments. Ones where an all encompassing mist slowly gets burned away by a rising sun exposing the forest below. Almost as if the entire world was waking simultaneously.

Moxie is one part of a 14 track compilation named "Migung 미궁" being released on the fantastic South Korean-based label, Huinali Recordings at the end of this month. Moon Patrol will be joined by other Delayed favorites such as Adhémar, Inhmost, Doltz, Ocram Orchestra, Daniel[i], OWL, and more. 

Once again the Delayed family grows!

Sequencer People is one of the many projects which the prolific US duet formed by Roland Barker and James Husted carried out in the early eighties. Under this pseudonym, we just have the proof of a cassette recorded in 1982 by the independent American label Engram Records & Tapes, from Seattle, which collects the only concert recorded in the art gallery Roscoe Louie, from Seattle as well. Apart from this short association, the American duet Minimal Synth, formed by Roland and James, took part in lots of other projects, sometimes together with other groups (Young Scientist, or Body Falling Downstairs), other times concurrently (Audio Leter, or K7SS) and also on their own.

As James himself points out, the essence of all these groups was improvisation, that is to say, they never compounded following limited patterns. They used to have a very simple structure which they were developing without a previous schedule. For this reason they have never conceived the term ‘song’ in their wide musical production; instead, they talked about ‘performances’ or ‘improvisations’. Anyway, in all their projects we always find an obvious tendency towards experimentation, in essence, with electronic instruments and the discovery of new possibilities with analogic technology, as well as the creation of dark sounding universes, industrial and open to a lot of possibilities.
Now, for the first time, we introduce to you these two jewels of the most subterranean and trend setting electronic music, in vinyl format. We hope you will enjoy it.

Following on from releasing on the various artists compilation on 3024 - “It Was Always There Vol 1”, Planète returns with a long awaited 4 track exploring new territories and sound landscapes.

Shuffling away from straight grooves of earlier muses, Planète takes time to explore the irregular pulses of broken beat rhythms whilst maintaining introspective colour on this new EP. Central to the messages in his explorations, "Eternal Now" represents a reconfiguration of sonic interpretation and reflection.

Opener 'Stony Creek Reserve' rattles and throbs, consuming a poly-rhythmic bass bedrock and dubbed stabs with crisp and glitched crackles whilst 'Passing Through' lightens the deep with a skipping kick drum and memorable percussion melodies guided by an anchored bass hit.

On the flip, echoing and spooky wooden hits fill the terrain whilst stark bass movements in 'Meteor' rain and mutate a broken techno groove. Closing up, allowing the energy to release, 'Eternal Now' gives rise to vast space in reverberated strikes and wobbled stabs under the hood of slow thuds and thin hisses.

This return shows versatility and growth in sonic descriptions, edging towards a bridge of found sounds and clinical club music. His latest contribution shows the breadth and current appetite for bass centric curations and meticulous high frequency attention refining his signature for evolving storytelling.

Norwegian duo Soft as Snow makes experimental pop for the interplanetary set, echoing the sounds of minimal wave and early Warp releases. Their approach to music making is hands-on; avoiding laptops in favour of analogue synths, drum machines and samplers, mixed with idiosyncratic vocals and heavily processed guitars. They’ll be releasing their debut EP, 'Glass Body', for Houndstooth on July 21st, 2014.
 
Soft as Snow is Oda Egjar Starheim and Øystein Monsen’s first electronic venture, yet their collaboration was initiated years ago through art related performances and projects  – including creating their own utopic art and music festival in the Swedish forest, and performing at events in cities such as London (where they are now based) and Oslo.

The duo has invited Julie Born Schwartz to design the cover art for their EP, which also features a remix by Asher Levitas of Old Apparatus, Saa and Penny. Meanwhile, their first upcoming video for the track “Halo Heart,” created by Michael Crowe from Overshare Records, Penny and Mysterious Letters, is currently on display in DZIALDOV Gallery in Berlin.

House of Feelings is an NYC based collective helmed by Matty Fasano and featuring a bevy of talent from the basements and bedroom studios of the New York underground.
