In her dj identity mʊdʌki flows in between bass music of such subgenres as jungle, dubstep, dub, juke, and avant garde experimental electronic music together with sound art, through a wide branch of techno – deep, minimal, breakbeat, industrial and hard acid techno tunes, all with a strong accent on the leftfield music scene. She is one of the founding members of phonon~ crew, mediating experimental electronic music and sound art in czech republic.

Nach einer kleinen Pause geht's bei uns mit Grawinkel vom Leipziger Soundsystem Kollektiv 2 Guys 1 Dub weiter. Seit er durch Dubstep seinen Weg in die Bass Music Szene fand, ist er seinem Genre treu geblieben und ist mit einer Reihe abwechslungsreicher und ausgesprochen guter Releases z.B. für das kalifornische Label Badman Studios oder die beglische Dubstep Institution DUPLOC am Start.
Grawinkels Set für usere Reihe ist ein Mix oldschooliger und neuer Dubstep Gems mit deutlich hörbaren Einflüssen der Croydon Pioneers.

Steinway artist, Chad Lawson, decided Chopin needed a new introduction.  Along with violinist Judy Kang (Lady Gaga, Ryuichi Sakamoto) and cellist Rubin Kodheli (Kanye West, Norah Jones), Lawson has arranged ten Chopin works into a minimalist landscape.

It's a risk editing the "poet of the piano" but one that Chopin would be proud of.  

Taking 10 Chopin works, Lawson decided to scale the works down to a minimalist setting.  "I knew even if bare-bones, Chopin's works could still be as spellbinding as the original compositions we are so familiar with." says the pianist.

Seit 2016 ist Gwinn aktives Mitglied des DJ-Kollektives Küchenrave und bringt sowohl digital als auch mit Platte die Floors zum Glühen. Mit großem Interesse an den unkonventionellen Seiten von Drum&Bass, hat er sich auch mittlerweile seinen Platz in der Dresdner Szene bereitet, doch seit einigen Jahren verschlägt es ihn auch immer wieder in die Welt von düsterem Trap, Dubstep und Breakbeat. It’s not sexist or judgmental, it’s just that The Bearded Man has to deal with his own share of problems that realistically have almost certainly never applied to you. Again, no offense, but if you’ve ever met the guy, you’ll know what we’re talking about. He basically lives in an Axe commercial 24/7, doing his best to keep hordes of multicultural supermodels away from him in each and every destination he visits. Whether he wears cologne or not, his natural scent is an aphrodisiac so powerful it would make Armani get out of the perfume business forever. The Bearded Man has often said that he couldn’t possibly fall in love with one woman — he’s in love with all of them. Unlike your garden variety bar-hopping d-bags, he actually means it, and it’s not just a cheesy pick-up line. That’s part of his universal appeal — he truly is a man of the people. At this point in his long, long, career, The Bearded Man knows it’s all about feeling good, whatever that might mean in any given moment. He’s never been one for remorse, and he’s never shied away from a risky situation. Still, would it kill you ladies, to give him a *little* breathing room *once* in a while?

The Pharcyde is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their iconic album Labcabincalifornia by releasing a commemorative mixtape. In a collaborative effort, the #BeamMeUpSpinna mixtape is mixed by NYC’s DJ Spinna and features “Nasty Habits”, an unreleased joint from the vault that features Ralph Tresvant & Bobby Brown.  Imani & Bootie Brown also asked a group of producers to remix and add their own personal spin on a few of the Labcabincalifornia songs that you all know and love.

Dj Mike Relm re-works a mash up of “Drop”, SBBX remixes “Groupie Therapy”, Moka Only drops his version of “Y”, Ta'Raach teams up with Bootie Brown to co-produce “Devil Music, The Devils Kitchen Remix”, and The Pharcyde’s own Bootie Brown remixes “Runnin’.”

DJ SPINNA is a heavily touted presence in the international soulful house music scene. He is known for his vast accomplishments as a producer, is celebrated for his “Soul Slam” events and Stevie Wonder inspired  WONDER-Full Dj performances and subsequent collaborations.

The Pharcyde’s sophomore album “LabcabinCalifornia” was originally released on November 14th, 1995. The group enlisted a young and then unknown James Yancey aka J DILLA to produce beats, like the cult classic “Runnin.”  They also collaborated with director Spike Jonze (“Being John Malkovich” “Adaptation”) on the video for “Drop.” Labcabincalifornia has consistently and continues to reinforce their steadfast refusal to tread familiar artistic grounds.

Die Wege der beiden Leipziger Booga und Tina kreuzten sich bereits einige Male, bevor sie anfingen, sich gemeinsam dem Label Defrostatica zu widmen, das Breakbeat-Aktivist Booga 2015 gründete. Dieser bestimmt die Szene im Einzugsbereich 0341 bereits seit vielen Jahren maßgeblich mit, als DJ und Promoter ebenso wie als Begründer der Web-Plattformen breaks.org und itsyours.info.
Dort hat auch Tina begonnen, ihrem Interesse an Musik als Autorin Luft zu machen. Inzwischen ist sie Bookerin für Bass- und Breaks-Veranstaltungen in der Distillery, hat ihre eigene Sendung auf Radio Blau und spielt zunehmend auch off-air Musik.
Ihr Label lässt die Grenzen zwischen Jungle, Juke und dem Autonomic Sound verschwimmen – genauso wie ihr Podcast.

Der Resident DJ des Clubs mit den wohl hochkarätigsten Line Ups der Republik teilt sich die Bühne mit allen, die im Bass Biz Rang und Namen haben - Hudson Mohawke, The Gaslamp Killer, Dj Shadow, Ivy Lab, Lefto... man könnte die Liste mit fast allen Namen verlängern, die einem dazu einfallen. Dabei ist all das natürlich kein Zufall, denn seine Selection ist genau so wandelbar und hochkarätig wie die Acts, für die er die Floors. auf Betriebstemperatur bringt. Allerdings sollte man ihn nicht auf die Rolle des Support DJs reduzieren. Seine Mixes erreichen durchaus die 100.000-Plays-Marke, mit seiner Crew Through My Speakers hostete er eine Bühne beim Splash Festival, Auftritte beim Boiler Room und SXSW - für Soulmind ist die Richtung klar. The sky is the limit!

Mit seiner Liebe für die tieferen Gefilde der elektronischen Musik ist nsphere seit vielen Jahren in der Dresden als Veranstalter, Producer und DJ aktiv. Seine "Artists-I-played-with" Seite im Lebenslauf ist schon lange nicht mehr auf eine Seite zu bekommen, u.a. durfte er schon mit Künstlern wie Amoss, Homemade Weapons, Clarity, Ruffhouse, Seba, Survey oder Fre4knc die Fader teilen. Durch die frühere Dubstepszene stark beeinflusst wühlt er sich seit jungen Jahren stetig durch die Regale der Plattenläden. Nsphere's Liebe zu Musik abseits des Mainstreams ist bis heute ungebrochen und bringt immer eine besondere Note in seine Mixes und auf die Tanzfläche. Als "dark engine" hinter dem Deeper Access Projekt pusht er aktuell genreübergreifend die experimentellen und deepen Töne abseits von BPM-Limits.

Infinite Sequence Podcast #014 - Nsphere (Deeper Access, Dresden)

FFRW (fast forward/rewind = Abkürzungen der Vorwärts- und Rückwärtstasten historischer Tape- & CD-Decks) sind ein DJ-Duo aus Berlin; die Musikgeschichte stets in petto, immer auf der Suche nach der aufregendsten Platte unserer Zeit.

Das ungewöhnliche Format als Duo - Selecta/Anpeitscher hier, Mixer/Scratcher da, wurde vor vier Jahren entwickelt um einem Traum entgegen zu fliegen, den beide allein nicht hätten erreichen können. Sie träumten davon, die besten Neuveröffentlichungen des gesamten Spektrums der elektronischen Sample- und Synthesizer-Musik in einem perfekt
gemixten und gescratchten Set zur Aufführung zu bringen um den Tanzpulk zu reizen, zu verunsichern und aufzupeitschen.

Denn während der DJ sich ununterbrochen auf Mix & Scratches konzentriert, wählt der Selectah die nächste Platte analog den Bedürfnissen der crowd aus und schuftet unermüdlich an der Verbindung zu den Tanzenden. Ist die Verbindung schließlich stabil, muss der Discjockey kurz innehalten, um symbolisch mit dem Selecta und der crowd
einen Schnaps zu kippen.

Der Traum lebt, der Flug bewegt sich zwischen 60 und 170 bpm, mal beginnt und endet er bei 90, mal an anderen Stellen und häufiger werden auch mehrere Pirouetten gedreht.

Seit 4 Jahren sind FFRW Gastgeber und Artists bei EAT the BASS, einer Raumzeit, die viermal im Jahr von DJs und Musikern bespielt wird, die sich ebenfalls der Erforschung etlicher Tellerränder verschrieben haben. Externe Höhepunkte waren eine Reihe von Festivalauftritten - u.a. auf der Fusion und dem Garbicz, die einen Tanzenthusiasmus entfachten, der jeder Beschreibung spottet.

Mike (Mixer/Scratcher) und Reinhold (Selecta/Anpeitscher) haben in der Vergangenheit unter verschiedenen Pseudonymen und Projekten das Berliner Nachtleben bespielt. Die ersten Nächte fanden im ACUD, im Fischladen und
im Eimer statt.

Accuracy is the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks about ILL_K and his sound. Bog-standard or random presets are not his thing, he likes to find new ways to get his ideas and sounds from.Often you'll find field recordings or sampled material in his tracks that are that much modified that you wouldn't think it was a sampled sound in the first place.
ILL_K started to produce Dubstep in 2006 but nowadays his sound evolved even more, you can now hear Jungle, Drum & Bass and Downbeats, all produced in the detailed and trademark Sound ILL_K is known for. Recently he has put out music on labels such like Foundation Audio, NORDlabel, Through These Eyes and Subaltern Recordings.

Educut….ehemals in Dresden wohnhaft und aktiv….spielt weiterhin Musik im Hip Hop Kontext. Auch wenn sich das Spektrum der musikalischen Interessen und Leidenschaften geöffnet hat, bleibt der organische/samplebasierte Sound die Basis der Selektionen des in Berlin Gestrandeten. Neben (instrumentalem) Hip Hop findet sich dort vermehrt Jazz, Soul, Funk, Fusion, Disco und (Deep) House. Seit der Ankunft in Berlin vor ca. 6 Jahren ist viel passiert…über das Jammen mit der East-West Band, auf den regelmäßig von Figub Brazlevič (Danke!) veranstalteten East-West-Sessions, lernte er den Berliner Produzenten Klaus Layer kennen. Nach spontaner live Session, noch am selben Abend, und weiteren privaten Sessions entstand eine freundschaftliche Bindung (Hab dich lieb Atze :-*) sowie die Idee seine  live Instrumental-Sets gemeinsam zu gestalten und umzusetzen. Nach regelmäßigen Auftritten bei der von Achim Funk und Shacke One initiierten Veranstaltungsreihe: Das Zündet, zwei gemeinsamen Reisen nach Moskau und etlichen weiteren Gigs inner- und außerhalb Berlins sowie Kollaborationen auf Tonträgern kann die Begegnung der Beiden als fruchtbar bezeichnet werden. 


Dank der Bekanntmachung mit BeatPete, durch den langjährigen Dresdner Wegbegleiter Said Sur La Place, entstand ein zweiter musikalischer Anknüpfungspunkt in Berlin. Aus gemeinsamen Vinylsessions im Kreuzberger Café Wendel wurden regelmäßige Einladungen zur Backyard Joints Veranstaltungsreihe (welche auch dieser Madmar schon mit höchster Flyer-Kunst beglückte) in der Weddinger Location namens Panke, die sehr schnell zu einem Lieblingsspot avancierte und ihm noch heute die Möglichkeiten für diverse Erfahrungen mit Musik und das Hängen mit Freund*innen bietet. 

Seit einem guten Jahr (etwas verschlafen) lädt Educut Projekte bei soundcloud hoch (ja, das benutzen noch Leute… :-P ). Initialzündung dafür war ein booking für die Veranstaltungsreihe: Soul Healing in der Dresdner Groovestation und die Anfrage für ein dort angebotenes Tape einen Mix aufzunehmen. Dem Soul Healing Mix, als online Selbstdarstellungspremiere, folgten Reposts von Tracks auf denen er Cuts beisteuerte, Snippets für die Berliner Independent Labels Dezi Belle und Krekpek Records, seinen ersten sc-Freund, den Produzenten Kunfu, sowie eigene konzeptionelle Mixe. All Good, Lupi Love und Nocturnal Thoughts geben einen Eindruck in die musikalisch verarbeiteten Gefühls- und Gedankenwelten sowie Präferenzen der letzten Zeit. 

Auch weil seine eigenen Projekte bewusst zwischen 20 und 30min gehalten werden (perfekt für die Berliner U- und S-Bahnen), konnte die Vorgabe von 60min nicht ganz eingehalten werden. Auf Anfrage von Infinite Sequence entstand ein diverser 40min Mix, welcher quasi aus zwei Teilen besteht….aber hört selbst…Liebe Grüße nach Dresden…Piiieeez !!!!!

Our 25th Anniversary slot this week features Richard Dorfmeister who appeared on the show in 2003 and featured many times as one half of Kruder and Dorfmeister, as well as his project Tosca with Rupert Huber, amongst others. Opening with ECM artist Steve Tibbetts, his mix floats between Gui Boratto, his own lush edit for Selah Sue, acoustic guitar of Jeb Loy Nichols and the dubbed out Rhythm & Sound featuring Cornell Campbell on vocals. He then weaves through Pat Metheney, the dub version of Sunset from Grace Jones' last album, blues from Ry Cooder and ending with a couple of tracks from his recent Tosca album 'Odeon'.
