Dublin’s Sean Cooley aka Clu (@clumusic) has been in the business of manufacturing idiosyncratic sounds for some time. Formerly a duo, the now-solo artist continues to push his brand of emotional production with a fresh approach to contemporary club sounds. Having previously made outings on Gobstopper, Clu recently stepped out on Murlo’s Coil Records to soundtrack an animated story, released incrementally. Narrated by the label boss’s trademark visuals, it finds a hoodie-clad protagonist starting out on a search for the forger of a mysterious Claddagh ring. Sonically, the accompanying EP (‘Always Forever‘) is all hyper-chromatic synths and moody, Burial-esque percussion. Clu went above and beyond the traditional remit of the mix to supply an alternate version of his EP, all music and stems from the record but remixed and re-contextualised into a new, freeform piece that works as an accompaniment to ‘Always Forever’. In his own words: “In this piece, ‘Always Forever’ washes out and takes on its ambient form as it ghosts around the Coil universe, the ring forming sounds from before.” Atmospheric and woozy, with glistening touches of crystalline beauty, you can tune in now.

For our next podcast we invited 1NDV. The producer hailing from Nara, Japan presents a selection of his newest, mostly unreleased trax and some of friends' in the japanese electronic music scene. His crisp and crystal-clear sound takes inspiration from classic Chicago-House and Juke and combines it with a playful approach to sampling, incorporating sounds from videogames, bird chirping noises and lots of banging percussions. We're super excited about the international flavour added to our mix series and thank 1NDV for his wonderful contribution!

on their journey into sonic fiction, Arcane Patterns returns with "Ground Poetics". The 4-track remix EP of the label‘s first release „When Grounds Shift“ by aphtc, featuring remixes by NYC based producer Kellen303, Berlin's bass innovator Orson, and AP founders Kl.ne and CRΞSC.

By reconstructing the post-jungle inspired aphtc tracks from 120 to 140 bpm, the artists reinterpret low freq sound system music informed by visceral body politics, a sardonic sense of doom, and post-pandemic futurism.

The 3rd label release is available digital and on vinyl in a limited hand-stamped white label edition.
