Serbian beat merchant @alg0rh1tm makes his debut appearance @membrainfestival this year and we're beyond excited with his presence. His dark and militant vibes have seen him emerge on labels such as @onsetaudio and @dinisnoise, pushing the edges of genre boundaries.
One of the many artists repping the Balkans here at Membrain Festival 2021, he's definitely a force to behold as this mix will testify!

"Was lange währt, wird gut" könnte man als Quintessenz dieses Mixes sehen. Wobei es hier ja eigentlich heißen müßte "Was lange währt, wird ausgezeichnet", denn Maltin Worf steht als Dresdner Homie schon seit Beginn unseres Podcasts auf der Want-List.
Seit sich unsere Wege das erste mal zu später Stunde am Tresen des Bon Voyage kreuzten, müssen inzwischen etwa zehn Jahre vergangen sein. Seitdem hat Maltin eine amtliche Entwicklung hingelegt, wobei schon damals offensichtlich war, dass er eine Extra-Portion Talent am Start hat. Gewinner des Laptop Battle Dresden 2014 und Artist in Focus beim 2015er DAVE Festival wird man nicht durch Zufall. Waren damals noch seine HipHop-Roots und Einflüsse von Madlib oder J Dilla dominant, so hat sich sein Sound mit den Jahren vor allem Richtung Footwork und Jungle verschoben, wodurch er zum perfekten Künstler für das Leipziger 160BPM-Label Defrostatica Records wurde. 2018 erschien dort sein erster Beitrag auf der Compilation "Future Sound of Leipzig" und in den Folgejahren die EPs "City of Meth" I und II, sowie "4AM". Samt Remixen von u.a. D'nB Urgestein Digital und einer Collabo mit Rider Shafique, womit Maltin Worf spätestens jetzt auch international Gehör finden dürfte.

Wir freuen uns wie Bolle, dass es endlich geklappt hat und wir nicht nur jeden Monat das von ihm produzierte Intro für den Infinite Sequence Podcast hören dürfen, sondern ihn endlich auch mit einem eigenen Mix am Start haben. Big up, Bro!

EXE Project is a creative platform established in 2016 to showcase the versatile world of left-field electronic music from its various sub genres world wide.
Based out of Manchester England EXE curates music releases, events, DJ mixes, Transmission podcasts and videos.
Meecha has compiled a mix here which showcases the EXE Project sound, which includes some current and forthcoming releases on the label. Node is up first with some Gated beats and then (contrary to what's said on the recording) Meech takes over at around the 22 minute mark.

Their new release Grooveyard on DEEPNAS is bass archaeology, where each track feels as if it’s been dug from the depths of time, stripped of the excess, and framed in fresh energy. Warm yet relentless grooves pulse here, reviving the night and turning darkness into a vibrating sonic expedition.
Grooveyard is a ritual of bringing back lost vibrations — a resurrection of rhythms that seemed to have been waiting for their moment beneath layers of earth. Each note cuts through the space with the confidence of one who has survived eternity and returned to make hearts beat in sync once more. This is music that rises from the depths and continues to live in every movement of the dance floor.

My latest creation "Dope" was made using sound design I've been working on, I've tried to implement minimal style synths and stabs but with a heavy-weight roller sub and Reece bass to keep the momentum. I complemented it with some old school vocal samples from the movie Reefer Madness for a bit of fun. Enjoy!
