Pinkman welcomes Maenad Veyl to its roster of artists for his debut release in the form of the labels second tape. 'Make Them Remember' sets the gloomy mood with clattering percussion and ghostly synth lines. The messy drum patterns of Taiko Death Rhythm' are breaking up the cold mist. The A-side of the cassette is completed by the melodic slow burning energy of 'D.M.M.R.M'. On the other side 'State ov Apprehension' and 'Sotto Gli Occhi Tutti' further darken the character, to then pave way for 'In Ruins' to finish the damage with it's ethereal, yet soul ripping guitar riffs.

Nina Kraviz @ Awakenings Festival 2019 (30-06-2019)

Milanese duo Younger Than Me are on a mission to bring back smiles to the dance floor. Children of the 90s, they are inspired by the early rave scene and times where hedonism and free-spiritedness reigned supreme; where people took themselves a little less seriously. 

As producers and DJs their music explores some of those styles prevalent during the heyday, and has taken them to labels like Bordello A Parigi, Tusk Wax and XXX, in addition to a wealth of remixes for different imprints. Earlier this year they revealed they were the minds behind the rave-inspired 90's Wax project, which is also a sub-label of Tusk Wax. 

With plenty more releases penned for this year and next, including a remix for Insult To Injury, our R$N sub-label ran by Timothy Clerkin, we invited them on board to show us what YTM are all about. Check out a rave-fuelled live recording from their set at this year's Sziget Festival...

UNIZONE: ALEXMALISM [s02e10] 𝖑𝖎𝖛𝖊 𝖘𝖊𝖙

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing - or refusing - to fit the patriarchal, neoliberalist mould we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. We discover that the stability we were instructed to obtain whether it be financial, political or ecological, is fleeting, if at all. The resulting anxiety is an instrument of neoliberalism that prevents many of us from being able to raise consciousness of the structural injustices that alienate us.

In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Barad teaches us that the world is a dynamic process of intra-activity and materialisation, an ongoing ebb and flow of agency. The Buddhist Law of Impermanence proves that nothing in this world is eternal. Regardless of ones point of reference we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

Each month we invite an artist to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality, where the listener can speculate on alternate modes of existence that escape hetero- patriarchal systems of oppression.

This month we have invited @floating-spectrum to respond to this concept.

Oberwave is back, peeps! The first release of the year from the Russian Dark Disco Syndicate is the third installment of their acclaimed compilation. M Love, Aura Nox, Corresponsal & Globemaster (SXDNS153) Feat. Born Loco, Mverto Futura, Morze (SXDNS151), Etane, ONDA AVITAL, Javier Ferreira, Diaz Tech (SXDNS089), and GUYD (FREEDL011) did what they know best: Darkness-and-groove infused tracks devoted to triggering emotions and sensations that only the Oberwave-ish trademark sonority (aka cold and macabre music to be danced till your bones break) is capable of.

The track we were solicited to review and premiere – cooked with love and mezcal by rising stars Corresponsal & Globemaster featuring Born Loco on the vocals – was born and raised in Mexico before crossing half of the world and finding its home in Russia. One of the highlights of the release shows its credentials from the very beginning: The almighty and bouncing bassline introduces the theme as if it were saying, “That’s it, I’m a f*cking banger, play me at peak time when it is allowed, cabron!”. The caliente Spanish lyrics help to set the climax and bring a proper amount of Latin mood to the gelid release.

'Music from an era that time forgot'

Inflect is a dedicated Record Label specialising in Indie Dance. At the outset Inflect originated in Liverpool. Inflect is part English and part Lithuanian and currently based in Vilnius and Leeds. 


As we know trends are forever changing, particularly ones from the past coming back into the mainstream, such as 80’s style clothing and formats such as vinyl and analogue music production equipment, with more advanced parameters. Our particular sound is specific to these trends. It is, essentially, music from all corners of the globe coming together to create an abstract style of electronic body music.

We are bringing you 1980’s disco, acid house, music with a modernised deep/dark techno feel. We believe it is a combination of the disco from the UK/Italy and the dark Techno imports from Central Europe, mixed with influences from Eastern European countries such as Lithuania, to create The Inflect Style.
