Empathy Slow - Inflect Records on Melodic Distraction Radio (April '22)

Kipras a.k.a. Empathy Slow (@empathyslow) became a resident DJ at his local club in Lithuania at the very young age.  Since then, he continues his journey, studying music production in London, where he played in various clubs. Later he moved to North England to study Media, Music and Sound. Since he has finished his studies, he continues experimenting with music and constantly making new projects while occasionally performing. Currently Empathy Slow is back at his homeland and lives in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius, where he is working on new music and partialy his record label called Inflect Records.

Iñigo Vontier brings the new and awaited release of Melomana to us from Mexico. On it you can find two original tracks where he shows his exquisite style as a producer.

" La Cosa " is an authentic hit for the dancefloor with electronic nuances while 
" Turn Off " moves into a slower bpm but full of poison.

The remixes are in charge of Eskimo Twins, one of the most refined artists of the electronic music escene, executing the remix " La Cosa " with a trascendental and melodic track and  'She Made Monster " (aka of Morgan Hammer and Lokier ) who make of  " Turn Off " a track wich combines techno with pronounced snares.

Nothing is fixed. The material is wave. Stability is an illusion. Chaos reigns everywhere. Our era reveals the emptiness of certainties. To put everything in question is sane. Thinking is our only salvation. The past is an illusion, the future, a lie. Only the present exists and we must fully open our minds to the
world around us. When observed, the universe vanishes. Only a full awareness of the moment will surpass the lies that surround us. Movement is life. Fixing is killing.

Our logo highlights our thinking :

The K in its form is the matter unsubmitted to the physical laws. In the quantum world the times joined in a single element. The arrow points toward the rear breaking the boundaries of physical laws. However, the K is for Kronos. The
birth and the beginning of life. It pervades the A in an act of creation orgasmic. The Material explodes. This is the phase of sexus. 

A represents the atom. The basic element and cornerstone that fulfills its mission with the appearance of the time. The inseminated atom explodes in a universal creative orgasm. The universal movement begins and neither ends nor fixes. Setting is dying.

O with its circle shape shows the fixity in the movement, the altered form of creativity. The perpetual rebirth and death of a single act repeated. Energy survives imprisoned. It's obscurantism, the worst illusion of stability. There is no
progress. The most negative ideas are born in this state. It is the illusion of remembering the past and being able to dominate the future. This is similar to the movement of the blind in the desert walking in circles while he thinks he is
going ahead. 

S is the wisdom that kills obscurantism. This is the Nexus phase. The S passes through O to break the incarcereting perpetual motion. It breaks the illusion of stability. The mind opens to its real environment and reveals the trap of perpetual motion. That's our goal, enlightenment. 

We have no answers, but we do have questions.

Empathy Slow became a resident DJ at his local club in Lithuania in 2010, when he was only 16 .  Since then he continues his journey, studying music production in London, where he played in various clubs. In 2016 he moved to North England to study Media, Music and Sound. Up north Kipras continued maturing as an artist and learned how to apply his creativity while occasionally performing around the area. 'Music from an era that time forgot'

Inflect is a dedicated Record Label specialising in Indie Dance. At the outset Inflect originated in Liverpool. Inflect is part English and part Lithuanian and currently based in Vilnius and Leeds. 


As we know trends are forever changing, particularly ones from the past coming back into the mainstream, such as 80’s style clothing and formats such as vinyl and analogue music production equipment, with more advanced parameters. Our particular sound is specific to these trends. It is, essentially, music from all corners of the globe coming together to create an abstract style of electronic body music.

We are bringing you 1980’s disco, acid house, music with a modernised deep/dark techno feel. We believe it is a combination of the disco from the UK/Italy and the dark Techno imports from Central Europe, mixed with influences from Eastern European countries such as Lithuania, to create The Inflect Style.
