In February 2018 she made her full debut into Jungle/Drum and Bass and was invited onto Kool London as DJ Rieo Sky's Super Sunday Music 4 Life Show as a special V.I.P guest. She then earned guest spots on Origin UK and Four Aces Radio. By July 2018, Dark Pheonix had earned a place on the mighty Kool London with a bi-weekly show on Tuesdays. 
This was followed shortly by her first booking in August of that year at Jungle Splash. 
Her hard work on radio, from cover shows to shows lasting 4-9 hours and her clear passion, along with her mixing, blending and selection is what sets her apart from many others out there.

Welcome to an absolute milestone, episode 400 of The Everyday Junglist Podcast!!
Thank you Sonar's Ghost for your mix that we featured for episode 399!

We made it to episode 400 and what better way than to feature a mix from one of the coolest, nicest, hardest working person in the scene, none other than Section! Not only is Section a good dude, but he's a talented dj/producer, as you'll soon see!

Before we get into the mix, I’m going to implore you to add these 5 Sections tracks to your arsenal: 
Stepping Stone, Dark Phrases, Vasodilation, Jungle War, and Scrutiny.

Section's mix with a wicked, flowing drumfunk tune, followed by some deep tunes with rolling bass lines, then some sharp, clean amens come to mash up the place! The tracks flip from deep rolling bass lines to old school influenced tracks and heavy, upfront smashers! Section really takes us on a journey for this one, I had the feeling of being in a sci-fi flick, Bladerunner cinema esque vibes! The mix explores some minimal, 97/98 style tunes, before finishing off with heavy rollers and amen heaven! Did I mention all of the dubs in this mix, MY GOD! Better check the track list for this one and put it on rewind, Section crushes this one for our special 400th episode!

Section:
Formed in 2013 Section have had releases on some of Jungle / Drum and Bass’ labels including; Dread, Serial Killaz, Skeleton,  Audio Addict, Deep In The Jungle, Counterpoint, Sub-Liminal, Format, Directors Cut, Rogue Beatz, Weapons Of Choice and his own label Locked Up Music. Section is half of Dark Ops with Flashback and have had recent success with Rebel Music, Dope Plates and Skeleton. 
In 2017 started his own Label; Locked Up Music and this mix features exclusive forthcoming tracks alongside his own productions and some of his favorite tracks at the moment.

Aaron Jay is head of A&R and owns Influence Records. 

Aaron started DJing in 1997. Between 2001-2003 Aaron was invited on a regular basis to warm up the bar at Bryan G's weekly night Movement which led him to be noticed by the scenes major players. 

2003-2011 Aaron Jay was made resident at Fabio's legendary night Swerve, playing every month to the dub hungry punters who like their rhythms soulful and funky. 

To support this Aaron joined premier DJ agency Groove Connection, joining an A-List roster that included Drum and Bass Pioneers Fabio and Grooverider. 

Known for playing Detroit Techno, Dub, Jazz, Rare Groove and deep inspired Drum and Bass, he has also gone on to perform at such legendary venues as Fabric, The END, CABLE, Heaven, Brixton O2 Arena as well as playing abroad. 

In 2008 Aaron set up Influence Records - supporting artists such as; Easy and Geeks, Commix, Jay Dubz, Mr Joseph, Lynx, Phil Tangent, CPH, A-Audio, Conrad Subs, Seba, L-Side, Hobzee and Zyon Base, HLZ, Dave Owen, Sergio Manifesto, Random Movement, Duoscience, Flaco, Bungle, Zero T, Conrad Subs, KMTR, Soul Intent, Brother, ICR, Kjell, Bal, Data, Sinistarr, Undefined, Atom, RawQ plus many others. 

Influence reflects his personal style, drawing upon deeper and leftfield flavours within the genre. Aaron Jay also teamed up in the studio with Lynx (Hospital Records, Creative Source, Soul:r, Detail) and has released two singles on Doc Scott's 31 Records.
