Let's meet our dj for episode 408, FX909:
Hailing from cultural hub PARIS, FRANCE, FX909 began as a TECHNO DJ in the mid-1990s, Alex became one of the leaders of the FRENCH D+B scene at the beginning of the new millennium in 2000.
In 2004, he signed to the legendary BRITISH imprint DEFUNKED, propelling his brand of LIQUID FUNK upon the international scene. He released more than fifty productions and collaborated with the likes of ALIX PEREZ, EGO TRIPPIN, GREG PACKER, MATHEMATICS, PAUL SG, and STUNNA, to name a few. The year 2010 saw Alex put his DRUM+BASS productions as FX909 into hibernation.
Fast forward to 2019, and ALEX has resumed his FX909 production moniker. Unveiling a flurry of new releases to mark a successful return to the liquid DnB scene throughout the end of the year 2019 with INFLUENZA MEDIA, LIQUID DROPS, TRIBE OF DUB, and a full length album, 'UNDEFINED' on SOUL DEEP RECORDINGS imprint.
In 2020, FX909 become a label owner with the birth of FX909 MUSIC and continues to spread his music with the help of FOKUZ, SUPERLIT, JAZZSTICKS, CELSIUS, LIQUID LAB, SMOOTH N GROOVE, LIQUID FLAVOURS, WEAPONS OF CHOICE, AMPHIBIOUS AUDIO, OMNI MUSIC UK and KOS.MOS among others.

FX909-Exclusive Mix- The Everyday Junglist Podcast-Episode 408

Soul Deep Digital & Treex are proud to announce the release of the Looped Mind EP, which is now available in all major digital stores and streaming sites.  The French producer has been a mainstay on the Soul Deep imprint, and his latest offering shows off his talent for creating undeniable dancefloor grooves.  The title track, “Looped Mind,” kicks things off in style with it’s snappy drums, cinematic stabs, muted horns, and jazzy piano chords.  “AL” is up next, with its soaring melodies, echoing vocals, pummeling bassline, and rolling Amen drums.  The song progresses beautifully from beginning to end, delivering a special experience for the listener.  The EP is rounded out with the dark, track grooves of “Failure,” and the all out dancefloor burners, “Stop For A While,” and “Fightin’ For.”  Treex is truly one of the Unsung Heroes of the scene, and this selection of tracks is guaranteed to draw more praises for his monumental productions.

Blog entry #21 - Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, missledz relocated to the UK in 2017 with an intention to immerse herself in the rich music culture for which it’s renowned.  With a reputation for eclectic, energetic and technical DJ sets, she has graced the decks at institutions such as Cross Club, The Volks, Steelyard, Thekla, Purple Turtle and more.

missledz has released on labels such as Lifestyle Music, Boey Audio, Noxious Records, Strictly Deep DNB, Liquid Brilliants, Headsbass and Bare Necessity Records..  Her tracks have received support from artists such as Fre4knc, Quadrant & Iris, Revaux, Dilemma, and Toronto is Broken, and several of these have notably received airplay on Rene LaVice’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Last year, missledz was involved in the inaugural Dub Wars production battle and has also joined Bristol collectives Rotations and Concrete Jungyals as a resident. The future is looking bright, with a number of releases and collaborations in the pipeline.

Aaron Jay is head of A&R and owns Influence Records. 

Aaron started DJing in 1997. Between 2001-2003 Aaron was invited on a regular basis to warm up the bar at Bryan G's weekly night Movement which led him to be noticed by the scenes major players. 

2003-2011 Aaron Jay was made resident at Fabio's legendary night Swerve, playing every month to the dub hungry punters who like their rhythms soulful and funky. 

To support this Aaron joined premier DJ agency Groove Connection, joining an A-List roster that included Drum and Bass Pioneers Fabio and Grooverider. 

Known for playing Detroit Techno, Dub, Jazz, Rare Groove and deep inspired Drum and Bass, he has also gone on to perform at such legendary venues as Fabric, The END, CABLE, Heaven, Brixton O2 Arena as well as playing abroad. 

In 2008 Aaron set up Influence Records - supporting artists such as; Easy and Geeks, Commix, Jay Dubz, Mr Joseph, Lynx, Phil Tangent, CPH, A-Audio, Conrad Subs, Seba, L-Side, Hobzee and Zyon Base, HLZ, Dave Owen, Sergio Manifesto, Random Movement, Duoscience, Flaco, Bungle, Zero T, Conrad Subs, KMTR, Soul Intent, Brother, ICR, Kjell, Bal, Data, Sinistarr, Undefined, Atom, RawQ plus many others. 

Influence reflects his personal style, drawing upon deeper and leftfield flavours within the genre. Aaron Jay also teamed up in the studio with Lynx (Hospital Records, Creative Source, Soul:r, Detail) and has released two singles on Doc Scott's 31 Records.
