Nick’s passion for electronic dance music was sparked in his hometown of surfers paradise, Gold Coast after a night out to see Dimitri from Paris.

A shift to Melbourne further ignited his love for EDM, leading him to quickly purchase his own set of decks. Techno became his genre of choice in the early days of Djing, inspired by the likes of Jeff Mills and Derrick May. This was soon followed by a progressive influence from big names like James Zabiela, Nick Warren, Sasha and John Digweed.

Nick spent several years in London, frequenting clubs such as Fabric and Turnmills, and DJ’d at parties and local clubs/bars. Nick’s EDM genre of choice has mellowed over the years leaving behind those early days of techno for an organic and deep house vibe. Nick regularly spins tunes from All Day I Dream, Anjundeep, Shanti Moscow Radio, Melody of the Soul to name a few. Nick also plays back-to-back with fellow DJ Matt Saz, under the name Saznic. Nick has a current residency on the UK-based AATM Radio Show ‘Origins’ showcasing DJs from around the world who play organic, deep and melodic house. Nick recently supported one of his organic house idols ‘Double Touch’ at their debut Melbourne gig.

**Was in the front row for this and it was one of the greatest sets I have ever heard Biggup DRS for the birthday shout on Supergrass @ 33.10 :) **

Recorded live at XOYO 16th August 2019 as part of Calibre's DJ residency there. This was a great opportunity for me to dust off the old dubplates and play some classic liquid sounds from around the early 00's era. Weirdly, a few hours before my set the barman at the hotel bar spilt boiling hot water on my left hand which meant I had to dj mostly one handed for this set, not so easy with vinyl! Still, the crowd brought the vibes and got me through it so it was a really memorable gig.

Aaron Jay is head of A&R and owns Influence Records. 

Aaron started DJing in 1997. Between 2001-2003 Aaron was invited on a regular basis to warm up the bar at Bryan G's weekly night Movement which led him to be noticed by the scenes major players. 

2003-2011 Aaron Jay was made resident at Fabio's legendary night Swerve, playing every month to the dub hungry punters who like their rhythms soulful and funky. 

To support this Aaron joined premier DJ agency Groove Connection, joining an A-List roster that included Drum and Bass Pioneers Fabio and Grooverider. 

Known for playing Detroit Techno, Dub, Jazz, Rare Groove and deep inspired Drum and Bass, he has also gone on to perform at such legendary venues as Fabric, The END, CABLE, Heaven, Brixton O2 Arena as well as playing abroad. 

In 2008 Aaron set up Influence Records - supporting artists such as; Easy and Geeks, Commix, Jay Dubz, Mr Joseph, Lynx, Phil Tangent, CPH, A-Audio, Conrad Subs, Seba, L-Side, Hobzee and Zyon Base, HLZ, Dave Owen, Sergio Manifesto, Random Movement, Duoscience, Flaco, Bungle, Zero T, Conrad Subs, KMTR, Soul Intent, Brother, ICR, Kjell, Bal, Data, Sinistarr, Undefined, Atom, RawQ plus many others. 

Influence reflects his personal style, drawing upon deeper and leftfield flavours within the genre. Aaron Jay also teamed up in the studio with Lynx (Hospital Records, Creative Source, Soul:r, Detail) and has released two singles on Doc Scott's 31 Records.
