After a small summer break we are back with a new deep story. This time its a special emotional mix with an urgent message. We are more than happy to have wilson.solidarity on our podcast series.

wilson.solidarity is a German DJ with Bengali roots – a cultural and personal background that deeply shapes his sound. His sets move within the realm of slower, driving techno, often infused with hip-hop influences. His music is never just functional – it tells stories. Stories of identity, resistance and belonging. As an member of the collectives Rebellion der Träumer (@rebelliondertraumer) and Tanz mit den Sternen(@nrzp), he shares his vision of a better world through his music. Music against racism!

His set closes with a poem that pays tribute to the victims of the racist attack in Hanau and serves as a reminder that racism is not a distant problem, but a lived reality for many. By embedding this message into the podcast, he creates space for both joy and awareness. Thank you wilson for your music and for reminding us that techno is for everyone!

Lets welcome Mia Kober for our next deep story. She is a New Zealand-based music curator renowned for her ability to craft silky sounds, soulful basslines, and curate immersive experiences. Mia stands as an integral pillar of the vibrant music community in NZ, leaving her mark on festivals like Shipwrecked, Fusion and Garbicz.

Mia’s mission goes beyond the decks she is a passionate advocate for creating immersive environments that transcend performance. Her impact ripples through the festival and event scene, where she plays an active role in shaping the culture from the inside out. She is also a founding member of Silk Collective, a mentorship platform dedicated to nurturing aspiring DJs and rising talent.

Her new mix came together on a long flight home, curated mid-air between continents. In a time of transition, as European summer fades into autumn and spring begins ahead. This is a mix from the in-between. A little on the gentler side: soft in touch, steady in motion, with deep grooves and rolling rhythms. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride.

What a night. What a weekend. What a festival. 

After an incredible experience in 2024, I was so happy to be back in 2025. But even more so incredibly honored to be offered to close out the Forest Stage with the final set of the festival. 

And to do it with Martín, one of my best friends, and favorite partner to play with. A night that will live in our minds forever. 

We started our set around 4am local time (Sunday night into Monday morning), and finished a little before 7am. We got to play from night into sunrise, with the sun coming out to play for the last 45 mins.  

Thank you again John, Bruno, Joao, Marco, and Goncalo for this gift. 

We hope everyone likes this set just as much as we enjoyed playing it.

The pair dug deep, pulling out gems from Fabrizio Mammarella’s remix work, Roman Flügel’s take on Kasper Bjørke, and a stellar Lauer rework of X-Press 2 & PBR StreetGang. There are nods to legends like Depeche Mode (via a Sons remix) and The Stone Roses’ “Fools Gold” reimagined by Rabbit In The Moon, alongside fresh heat from DJ Minx, Weska, and Damon Jee. Michi is one of the founders of Better Call Soul. This vinyltainer started out DJ-ing on digitalsystems but was socialized with vinyl by his dad from early childhood on. Audio dramas such as„Timm Thaler“ or classics on vinyl like „Peter and the Wolf“ were part of his upbringing.His true love in music though is D I S C O, so he began to collect Disco on vinyl some 10 years aeerhe had lee home, far in his 20ies at this fme. As he began looking into the roots of Disco he reallyfound what he had long been looking for: Grooving Soul paired with warm and funky basslines ,some monsters of brass. Stretching from Northern Soul to Modern Soul as well as Nu Soul hehas nested in a genre family that keeps on turning wheels around the world. And when he met hismusical brother in law, Daniel, in Bambergs FREIRAUM both where shocked by the congruency ofboth their vinyl belongings as well as the longing for Soulmusic to be played on todays dancefloors. This companionship keeps on expanding out to genres such as Lafn, 60ies RnB up to Afro-Beats

After releasing his double EP 'Voyage Direct', early 2009, Tom has spent the last two years finding his signature sound. The outcome of this search has resulted in 'Iris'. Where 'Voyage Direct' was his homage to disco, 'Iris' deals with all of Tom's musical inspirations. Shaping these inspirations into a new sound and creating an exciting mix is where Tom really succeeds. 'Iris' can be best described as a futuristic soul album. It's an album that takes the listener on a voyage into the future of dance music. A future where all genres and directions are fused together, from soul to techno, from hip hop to electro and from classical to disco. Over the past two years Tom has spent countless hours recording for 'Iris' in his studio, on the road and in Los Angeles, where he recorded 'So Cold', together with Om'mas Keith of Sa-Ra. Other vocalists featured are Tyree Cooper, Oliver Daysoul, Romanthony and San Proper. The selection of vocalists underlines the diversity of 'Iris'.
