Tyler McMullen, CTO at Fastly - an edge compute platform - talks about some of the challenges and opportunities associated with 'edge computing', where the technology is headed, and how an organizations content delivery network (CDN) can be an integral part of their Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process.  He describes some of the most common challenges associated with load balancing, how sites like airBnB and Twitter might configure their CDNs, and how Fastly's product is evolving to support the future of edge compute.  

At Fastly, Tyler is responsible for the system architecture and leads the company’s technology vision. As part of the founding team, Tyler built the first versions of Fastly’s Instant Purging system, API, and Real-time Analytics.
