With the passing of our dear friend Gian Gleason this June, I wanted to push myself to finish a track I had started earlier on in the year that I felt had meaning and emotion to it & that Gian would approve of. Gian was always the brightest light to enter any room he walked into & I wanted to create a happy,energetic vibe, just like Gian was best known for.

Whilst the original was made out of spontaneity, Markus Schulz and Jochen Miller's soiree during a distant Miami Music Week proved to have a long-lasting effect; with Rotunda remaining a big fan favorite to this day.

With the desire to present the piece under a fresh guise however, the Coldharbour boss turned to one of his most reliable members; and since Dave Neven loved the original himself, took on that very task.

The result was a high energy revision; harnessing the LA native's driving basslines and building upon the addictive nature of the original's main lead. Even after all these years, Rotunda still sounds as refreshing as ever, and Dave Neven's remix is testament to that.

With much of the world isolated and in quarantine, Markus Schulz decided to revisit one of the tracks from his We Are the Light album, Together with Jared Lee. Listening to those words resonated even more than before due to everything we are going through, so he ended up reopening the studio session to create a "Rise Together Mix"; something that highlights our bond in getting through to the other side.
