Dutch techno producer Troy (@troy_techno), born and based in The Hague, has long been a steady presence in the deeper realms of contemporary techno. Known for his timeless sound on labels such as Klockworks, Non Series, and KEY Vinyl, Troy continues to explore the intersection of raw energy and refined sound design.

Function's Infrastructure New York now welcomes Troy with his first Double EP 'Echoes of Ancient Life' — a profound excavation of both his past and the evolving trajectory of his sonic identity.

Composed entirely with the OB-6, the release channels inspiration from ancient and forgotten civilizations — their echoes resonating through layers of analog warmth and hypnotic repetition. Across these 8 tracks, Troy constructs a continuum between the mystical and the mechanical: deep, tunneling synth lines, evolving textures, and precise rhythmic flow.

From the slower beginnings to the more uptempo and propulsive closing chapters, Echoes of Ancient Life maintains a firm gaze on the dancefloor while delving into the archeology of sound. Recorded at Pollux Studios in The Hague, this release captures the timeless spirit of techno — both as a ritual and as a forward-moving force.

Fides Records pushes further into its 10-year anniversary journey with X3, the third chapter of the series. Staying true to the label’s decade-long commitment to forward-minded underground techno, this new instalment sharpens the focus with five cuts that move between peak-time impact, melancholic tension, and dubwise pressure each one a different angle on the Fides aesthetic.

Side A opens with Dustin Zahn’s “Madness”, a no-nonsense peak-time weapon built on stomping momentum, immersive pressure, and relentless driveproof of why the US veteran remains a constant reference point. Marco Bruno follows with “Aura”, where melancholic leads and detuned synths shape an introspective yet heavy-hitting groove, capturing the Italian producer’s emotional weight and versatility. Closing the side, JANEIN (co-founder of Seelen Records) delivers “Polaris”, a spatial, bleepy roller that leans into darkness while keeping the propulsion locked forward.
Flipping to Side B, Yant’s “Fractured” shifts the palette: playful yet precise, kinetic in motion, with textures that keep mutating as the rhythm snaps into place. DHÆÜR “Sealand” captures the mood of a young Italian artist carving a new lane in minimal, elegant, unapologetic energized and raw Techno, yet defined by clean design, confident restraint, and a sharp personal signature. The record concludes with Hadone’s “No Longer Observed”, a dub-tinged stomper rich in detail and low-end depth; club-weight with an emotional undercurrent, balancing elegance and power in a way that feels unmistakably Fides.

Checking back into Token with his unmistakable sound, Nørbak's 'Chuva' delivers four relentless slices of modern techno. Stretching textures and grilling circuits, the EP presents itself as a statement expressing a high pressure dancefloor experience.

A proper introduction is never far from the Portuguese artist who has consistently pulled inspiration from ambient and experimental music. With one minute of drone to seemingly guide the experience, a swift switch decidedly flexes 'Sonho'. Bending pitch and texture is a big theme in 'Chuva' and the A1 leaves nothing to the imagination as Nørbak makes his intentions as clear as ever. Switching to 'Leveza', the producer takes a minimalist approach with accents on the percussive arrangements. Whipping delays on off-beat drum hits create an unreal acoustic environment while maintaining a maximum amount of tension. The synth line remains insistent as rides and various hi hats urge the track into psychosis with every transition. The titletrack 'Chuva' takes a similar approach in the power of warm sound design, but this time we see a focus on warped melodics that are blissfully mixed in a track constantly bordering on chaos. Opening and closing the space, Nørbak takes to detuning his main synthline to create eruptive sections in the record while brewing a storm of ambience in the stereo field. As the final chapter, 'Capa' bends almost to a break. Rhythmically expressive in every way, the track drives the EP home with a dangerous bassline and dry percussion to ride off of it. Signing off for this latest contribution to Token records, Nørbak's flare in the studio reasserts his position as one of techno's most anticipated creators of recent years.

Rene Wise & Ignez open the release with Anjos , pairing Wise’s tactile, percussive pressure with Ignez’s expansive, oceanic pads. The result sits at the intersection of functional drive and elevated, almost devotional space, re fl ecting a new generation’s approach to techno as both tool and inner landscape. Norbak’s remix draws the track further inward, deepening its hypnotic pull and extending its energy into a more meditative, slow-burning form.

On the B-side, Claudio PRC & Luigi Tozzi present Onirica , a deeply restrained and immersive composition rooted in atmosphere, spatial detail and subtle psychedelia. Unfolding with patience, it rewards attentive listening and long-form dance fl oor contexts. Markus Suckut closes the EP by reducing Onirica to its bare essentials, applying his signature economy and precision to heighten tension and focus.

Coalescence re fl ects The Third Room’s vision of techno as a shared terrain, where different voices and generations meet, align and quietly reinforce one another.
