It´s in the morning. The grey blue light is still covered by the dark of the night. From far away, we can see a forest that appears in the middle of a misty field. Strange sounds that are coming from the woods awaken our curiosity so we are walking towards it. Once inside we are discovering that it isn´t a natural forest, but an #electrical forest#: Big trees are made up of steel, pins and leaves made up of iron. above, there are robot- birds with bright- light eyes flying over our heads. The more we feel the forest and enter into its rhythm, the more we can let go and fear is almost completely gone. It´s beautiful! And now, birds and trees seem to slowly disappear. But we can´t stop walking. It´s impossible to escape the rhyme. It took the entire power over our legs and body. So we are walking and walking, out of breath, not knowing what´s going on. And now, we are out of the woods, still walking… and finding us… all alone…walking and walking…  (THE BEGINNING)

Microscopic Cookbook is the first album I have ever put out as "Gama." it was published in 2017 by the Osaka collective CHILLMOUNTAIN (♥), which distributed the Cassette in Japan. MC is a piece of music that could've been a movie but turned out to be an abstract radio drama. The 8-track tape tells us a semi-continuous Carrollian story with detailed, microscopic sounds. At the time, my addiction was collecting recordings and making these loose "ASMR" beats; that's how the album got its name.

For the 5th anniversary edition, I've added two tracks that were left out from the original tape, plus new, clearer mixes to give a new life to this record. This version is a modest, intimate celebration, a way to get to know each other better. While I work on new music, perhaps these tracks can show both of us some perspective of now & then.

So fasten your headphones! We are about to dive into a rabbit hole.
