Appetite For Selection 235 – Charles Webster

Pleasure Voyage is a Budapest-based electronic duo formed in 2018 by Attila Lukács Jr. and Szilárd Prech. Blending Balearic house, italo disco, deep disco, and yacht funk, they craft music that feels like a seaside escape. Inspired by trips to Croatia, Italy, and the Canary Islands, their sound evokes sunsets, warm nights, and endless horizons.

Their releases, like Azzurro on Quattro Bambole Music, play like a week-long Italian holiday, while tracks such as Mediterranean Feelings radiate coastal vibes. The crown prince of Germany's Italo/Electro scene takes the reins for our latest mix. Whether it's his solo endeavours or his excellent Tuff City Kids collabs with Gerd Janson and Black Spuma project alongside Fabrizio Mammarella, he's a producer who always delivers, taking the sounds of the '80s and bringing them bang up to date. 

*How would you describe your sound?*
Dance music between Italo, House, Electro, Synth, Rave, Acid and a little Techno .. mostly leaning towards 80ies sound.. maybe

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?* 
I guess listening to music since being a kid and one specific and very forming influence was DJ Ata in the early days of the  Robert Johnson Club .. I guess that place in general.. i spent so many nights there.

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*
My first 12" release came out 25 years ago ..and when i stumbled across your idea (from a few years back) to record a 100% Lauer music mix i thought: now is the time !   I tried to cover most periods featuring  some personal faavourites of mine.. and some "hits" ..  Its a bit random .. but  i feel it is a good representation of what   i did in the last years... hehe

Ingo Saenger @ 11.05.12

Ingo Sänger is a veteran in the german House circus and started DJing quite a while ago in the days when good clubnights included a mixture of Hip Hop, Dancehall, House & Breakbeats. 

He is producing tunes with Henry L aka Henry L & Ingo Sänger. Their sound is influenced by classic Detroit and Chicago House, which often flirts with Disco and Boogie. These mirror ball fantasies are joined by their Funk, Soul and Jazz stamped Hiphop roots. 

Ingo is also part of the duo Westpark Unit (with Herb LF) and runs the label Farside Records. 

From 1995 to 2004 he used to play on german radiostation WDR 1Live and founded the Treibhaus show that was quite influential for a lot of DJs & upcoming artists. Since 2010 he is back on air with a monthly radioshow on ByteFM. He played in almost every good club in Germany and of course different intl. DJ spots here and there. Sometimes you can find him playing with musicians (eg. harpist) as well.
