We are happy to release our label's anniversary compilation called X. A label showcase and an inside peek at our musical DNA, with art for this occasion by the virtuoso Rosenfeldtown.

When we, Emiel and Daksinamurti decided to start the label we wouldn't have dreamed of how it turned out. Now after almost 12 years of running the label we are still amazed by the amount of creativity this psychedelic scene has to offer. A lot of art and music still inspire us, and we are happy to have contributed to the psychedelic culture with what we do. Our mission statement hasn't changed since the day we started – to release psychedelic music away from stereotypes and stubborn boundaries.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away music played a powerful role in the lives of all beings. From the grand symphonies of the Republic to the primal rhythms of the wild Wookiees, music was a universal language that united the whole universe.

But as the darkness of the Sith threatened to consume the galaxy, the music of the Jedi became a beacon of hope and inspiration. Led by Thelios and the legendary Cantina Band, they set out on a journey to spread the sounds of the Force and bring peace to the galaxy.
As they journeyed from the underwater planet to the mystical land of India, Thelios discovers a powerful connection to the Force thanks to the ancient art of Konnakol and aquatic sounds learned by underwater creatures.
The power of music is stronger than any weapon, and with the help of the Force and their musical skills, they will fight against the forces of darkness and bring harmony to the galaxy once more.

Sangoma Records proudly presents “The Seed”, an anniversary special to celebrate our 100th release assembled by label heads Emiel and Daksinamurti. It features an all-star lineup from the label roster and friends to showcase the current state of the art. For this release, we collaborated with the fantastic Joe Vaux. It is a true honor for us to have Joe, a humble painter, and a director on the legendary Family Guy tv series, whose art is also used as the work of a character named Goliath on Syfy channel's Resident Alien. This 17-track release can show a glimpse of our repertoire and we assure you it will keep you moving and grooving in the quintessential sangomesque fashion. We want to thank everyone who has been supporting us on this path.

Destination Birmingham marks a defining chapter for VIK B, a producer whose sound is rooted in raw energy, hypnotic movement, and the dark groove of the underground. Born in Hungary and now embedded in Birmingham’s techno fabric, VIK B channels the spirit of the city’s industrial pulse and its disappearing rave landmarks into a project that is both personal and powerful.

The EP serves as a sonic tribute to the places, people, and dancefloors that shaped his journey, most notably the legendary Suki10c and the Digbeth district, long-considered the beating heart of Birmingham’s underground culture. Across the release, VIKB blends gritty textures, rolling percussion, and driving low-end pressure to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward-facing.

Destination Birmingham stands as an homage to a city in transition, capturing the raw atmosphere of its past while pushing toward a harder, modern techno future. It’s a statement of identity, a love letter to the rave, and a showcase of VIK B’s unmistakable production style.

Ingrained Instincts is a unique project consisting of Tilemachos Vlachos, and Dafy Deliangelos from Greece. Both have shared the same passion for Psychedelic music since their very early days. They met in 2001, formed a project together, and started to develop a different sound, but one totally sympathetic to the scene, and yet wholly psychedelic, and funky! 

After many years of experimentation, the Ingrained Instincts project was born in 2014. Their sound could be described as an amalgamation of many variations which don’t fit in one box – definitely different and organic sounding. For their production they use analogue as well as digital hardware, and are building their own modular system. Tilemachos also has a downtempo project called “Escape Velocity”, with releases on Spiral Trax, Sonic Loom and Eardream Music amongst other labels. Ingrained Instincts are signed with Sangoma Records and so far released on TIP Records, Nano Records, Future Music Records, Blacklite Records and more. Ingrained Instincts have been busy touring around the globe and have performed live at some of the biggest festivals of the Psytrance scene such as Boom, Ozora, Universo Paralello, Sonica, Antaris, FreeEarth, Indian Spirit, Kosmos and many others… 

This is one project you have to keep an ear out for, because before you know it you’ll be dancing away. Uncontrollably! It’s infectious.
