We at Sangoma Records are happy to present our first EP by Brazilian artist CyK. The man behind that project is Ciro Mendes, who is no stranger to this label – he has already released an album with his project Alchemy Circle along with Caio Wandalsen on Sangoma. For this release, he pulled quite some tricks off his sleeve and surprised us with his unique style and phat production, including a rocking collaboration with one of Brazil’s most promising acts – Konebu. Cyk explores the wilder, more foresty side of the psychedelic spectrum and is another great example of strong psychedelia made in Brazil, which we love so much. Big thanks and appreciation to our dear friend Nicolás Rosenfeldtown once again for his stunning artwork.

Ingrained Instincts is a unique project consisting of Tilemachos Vlachos, and Dafy Deliangelos from Greece. Both have shared the same passion for Psychedelic music since their very early days. They met in 2001, formed a project together, and started to develop a different sound, but one totally sympathetic to the scene, and yet wholly psychedelic, and funky! 

After many years of experimentation, the Ingrained Instincts project was born in 2014. Their sound could be described as an amalgamation of many variations which don’t fit in one box – definitely different and organic sounding. For their production they use analogue as well as digital hardware, and are building their own modular system. Tilemachos also has a downtempo project called “Escape Velocity”, with releases on Spiral Trax, Sonic Loom and Eardream Music amongst other labels. Ingrained Instincts are signed with Sangoma Records and so far released on TIP Records, Nano Records, Future Music Records, Blacklite Records and more. Ingrained Instincts have been busy touring around the globe and have performed live at some of the biggest festivals of the Psytrance scene such as Boom, Ozora, Universo Paralello, Sonica, Antaris, FreeEarth, Indian Spirit, Kosmos and many others… 

This is one project you have to keep an ear out for, because before you know it you’ll be dancing away. Uncontrollably! It’s infectious.
