Funk & Soul show live and in July 2014 have been asked to open the show for the funk legend George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic in London. Their debut Album sampler is grabbing attention & support from a host of new followers including their influences & peers - FDeluxe (Prince), Wendy & Lisa (Prince, Heroes tv series), Bootsy Collins (Parliament/James Brown)& Soul legend Jocelyn Brown.

On the “Can’t hold it” EP, the guys showcase their love for lush disco, analogue basslines and leftfield musicians, bringing in NYC native Willie Burns for a remix that shows you the darkest side of Heist yet.
The title track and EP opener should feel like a warm welcome to those who enjoyed last year’s “Howsmusic” so much: warm subs, galloping hi-hats and an exotic synth loop that’ll get stuck in your head for hours and hours.
“Just not Norma” goes on in a similar manner, this time built around a few simple but effective keys chops and the lovely solo work of Mark de Clive-Lowe, adding a dash of emotional P-funk to the groove.
The B-side takes a jump into more electronic territory with both versions of “Tamarindus hollandicus”. The original evolves around a bell- like percussion loop and a roaring Moog bass, with synth, strings and piano loops exchanging their spot on center stage. Willie Burns gets all dark and trippy on his excursion into electro territory. Machinegun-like claps and haunting strings accompany the breakbeat-not-breakbeat and ruthless bassline to give the EP a thrilling finale.
These 4 tracks show you a wide variation of dancefloor moods and hopefully will make you fist pump, strip, get down, jump, scream or do whatever it is you do when you’re releasing your energy at a party.

Over the past 5 years he’s been producing dance music under different aliases until he got the formula right a year ago and started to make house and disco. So far over the past year he’s released 3 EP’s; 2 self released and 1 vinyl release with New York label Homage. Next month his remix of Black Loops - Baustelle will be released on Neovinyl’s Random Remixes 3 EP and has a few other releases planned for later in the year.

Le Rubrique, who’s been at the forefront of Germany’s disco-house scene with his work behind the scenes with Sucio, is back with his new track “Pata Pata”, releasing on the latest volume (012) of the German Footjob label. Demonstrating his versatility with this addictive, well crafted, afro disco machine, Le Rubrique also utilizes pieces from oft-sampled afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.

Le Rubrique, employs his signature disco-house sound on "Pata Pata", but in a fresh and striking way. The song is kicked off by an infectious drum fill which helps to drive the main beat, creating an irresistibly catchy groove. The percussion is quickly met by the introduction of a choppy warm rhodes melody, that when paired with the subtle shakers and crispy open hi-hats, give it the rawness and organic feel of a live show. Let's not forget the sampled vocals from the famous Fela composition, Upside Down, that really tie the whole piece together. Le Rubrique is normally known to mix his tracks to have somewhat of a softer vibe, but with this track's soaring brass hits and powerful drums, his versatility shines through. You can find Footjob's latest compilation including Le Rubrique's track "Pata Pata" here.

After making a V/A appearance on ‘EXCURSIONS # 5’ via Phuture Shock’s EXCURSIONS sub-label in 2018, rising German talent Sandilé returns, this time on the Bristol-based parent imprint, with a blistering two-track missive entitled ‘Bulla Bulla’.

Having emerged out of Cologne’s vibrant underground house and techno scene over the last few years, the local DJ and producer has steadily built a name for herself with frequent DJ gigs across Europe and a clutch of releases on hometown labels including Like Records and IM IN LOVE. While last year saw the German artist land a production credit on Berlin’s Neovinyl, by way of a notable collaboration with prolific house duo Black Loops

Here adding to her growing credentials, with her first solo outing on Phuture Shock Musik, Sandilé showcases her versatile, groove-driven style across two club-bound tracks - both of which bridge the gap between the soulful essence of deep house and the unrelenting drive of techno; replete with dark and dubby overtones, whilst also heavily taking cues from the UK’s rich bass music roots.
