Fresh off the block for today is the mysterious Neotex’s Glacier from NH001. The inaugural vinyl only release of a new Sydney based label, Natural-High. The club friendly tune snaps into focus immediately, grabbing listeners and taking them on a euphoric break-beat trip. One can almost picture the smoky afters or intimate clubs in which this track would be most at home, whirling around space and time building tension for what is to come.

Glacier, and in turn Perspective Shift (NH001) will be released April 1st, 2022.

Ivy Barkakati is an American DJ, producer, and vocalist based in Barcelona since 2012. Her solo music has been released on labels such as Butter Sessions and Planet Trip, and her vocals have featured on tracks by artists such as Cardopusher, Furious Frank, and Roza Terenzi. In her DJ sets she combines past and present, where the common thread is music with soul, whether it be New York deep house or contemporary club music.

Opening with the Vangelis inspired Present Voyage then weaving a path through gritty throbbing bass, exemplified by Arrival and on to minimized funk of Disco Diva and Need House, Sonic Intervention progresses naturally on through the swirling tension of Get Up and crescendos with the combination of floor-burner NZT and the old-school Electro stomping Electric Pandemic; featuring the vocals of Detroit Grand Pubas Paris Du Black Fu. When quizzed on his motivations behind his latest studio album, The Advent stated I wanted to do something quite personal for this first album and delve a little bit into the past to get inspiration from my influences to make an album that reflected all the musical genres I have been inspired by over the years electro, electronica, tech house - not just the techno tracks. Future music from a past master, made for the here and now.

Hoboken, New Jersey native Joey Anderson launched his label Inimeg Recordings in early 2011. His first release on the label Organisms, featuring longtime comrade DJ Qu garnered a welcoming response from media outlets across the globe including RA and Concepto Radio. Anderson’s previously released tracks Dive Deep, Thee Analysis and Oval alongside his Exchange Place crew ignited an interest that is continuing to burgeon. With deep roots in the underground House Music scene of New York City as a masterful dancer, Joey Anderson’s evolution to producer, DJ and label owner were almost inevitable. His latest release We Are Not Alone with industry fav Jus-ED is a strong cohesive follow up to his premiere release. Moody vibes juxtaposing intergalactic intonations mixed with deep rhythmic consciousness, encompass Anderson’s sound.

Summer 2012 will mark Anderson’s first official debut to the European market playing the likes of  Free Rotation festival++. Domestically Anderson has played various underground parties like Sound Noir, Boundless and Clubhouse. And continues to collaborate with various artists and labels like Fabric London, Soul People Music, Levon Vincent, Finale Sessions and Deconstruct.
