- sat on the couch, watching horror movies on mute, drinking coffee, making tunes
- drove to Footscray to help my friend Reis record his band
- heated up leftover lebanese food and made a sort of shakshuka with it
- hung out with my Mum, looking at family photos
- nursed a hangover, drove to northcote plaza and bought 6 donut holes
- made this mix

The word ‘Windowpecking’ describes the act of wandering through a city and becoming mesmerised by shop fronts and the windows of residential buildings and flats. Initially, the practice of ‘Windowpecking’ may be an act that occurs rather automatically when strolling around in unfamiliar areas. It is linked to the practice of drifting.

‘Windowpecking’ creeps its way into one’s walking, until one finally realizes that there is a pattern in the randomly occurring, unplanned paths one takes and their gaze remains glued to certain panes of glass and lingers.

Like a bird hammering on a window to request entry, ‘Windowpecking’ reminds us of the separation between internal and external, private and public, sidewalk and interior, of lantern light and bedside lamp.

Wagener's namesake series captures the fleeting encounters that occur on both sides of a window, between passersby and residents, in small-format paintings and a corresponding audio piece. Translucent figures appear behind the windows, taking on forms of everyday gestures as they are immersed in soft light. The glass both separates and allows for a temporary intimacy, leaving us in the in-between space: to detach ourselves and move on or to be longingly embraced by the world behind the windows.

"a few tracks [are] from ‘00s era CDs i’ve found forgotten about in a weird/cool CD only store in Sheffield that has that satisfying ex-HMV racking you can flip through at high speed. no greater feeling than leaving there after an hour with a little envelope sized brown paper bag containing a saint etienne cd, some terrible/great chillout compilation, and a ken ishii thing you’ve not heard before for all of £10."

Theory Therapy 82: Short Span

Here’s some ultra-spatial leftness from basement friends – venus on
the half shell. 

Intensely transfixing selections from pressing play, carving out
a perfectly detached and immersive listen. Organic + mechanic energies fuse
throughout; all tainted with a sense of dream state otherworldliness. Dream
baby dream!
