The Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist Exmantera (Daniil Mantere, they/them) https://soundcloud.com/exmantera is one of the prominent names in the Finnish underground digital electronic scene, and they’re known for their abrasive, knife-sharp outings where crispy sound design meets clangy dramatic tension. After hosting a remix on last year’s “Ross 308 EP” by the also Finnish artist Comastasis https://paynomindtous.bandcamp.com/track/ross-308-exmantera-remix, we’re thrilled to share with you their latest work “LETHALITY” EP. As of today, you can pre-order the EP for 1€ or more on our Bandcamp, and stream the first excerpt called “DISTILL”.

“LETHALITY” is composed of seven tracks and comes with an eerie, obscure artwork by Exmantera and uzâ a’amo https://instagram.com/uzaaamo/. As evoked by its title, the record is unforgiving in its sonic violence, aggressive distortion, and clangorous instinctiveness. Episodes inspired by the finest instrumental grime are followed by ear-splitting bursts, metallic percussions, glitching artifacts, and sinister melodies. These raw ingredients are molded into eventful tracks that immediately capture the listener despite the unrestrained rhythmic violence, guiding them down a treacherous path of digital corrosivity. In other words, Exmantera encapsulates spectacular ferocity and immaculate bloodlust in each of the compositions, molding the elements in the ultimate sound transposition of the impulse to maw, gnaw, and kill. We are proud to introduce you our next and tenth release on which we have been working for more than a year.

This release is intended to be the soundtrack to an experimental short film/ballet we are currently working on.

This 9-tracks VA is a journey through different visions of music production, but all unique, bold, passionate — the order of the tracklist is designed to follow the story of the short film.

On the vinyl side it will be a 12” 140g double disc with inner sleeves and printed outer sleeve pressed at Vinyl de Paris (100 copies limited edition).

Blown by the Wind is a project that highlights the voices of the Global URL Nation community, and the textures that can be created from them. The voices mingle and intertwine until a soundscape shimmering compilation is woven.

It was a project in two phases. The first one consisted in the creation of a common pack of vocal samples - anyone from the GUN community could contribute with what they already had, or could create something specifically for the project.

´¯`·- It welcomed 116111 , Amselysen, Bademjan, Epiphagi, Eurrope, Griigg, Jeune Faune, jjjacob, MYEN, Pénélope, RougeHotel, & SNKLS for around 50 voice samples.

In the second phase, artists from GUN could propose a track using this sample pack. The idea was to consider voices as key instruments, with the possibility of shaping, distorting and transforming them at will to create new textures.

Disappearing doesn’t always mean being lost — sometimes it’s the only way to be found. Gonefromhere is a fractured transmission from the edge of memory, a collaboration between three sonic shapeshifters: Phntmzn, Slaymor, and Br. Blending ambient textures, glitched-out rhythms, and ghostly vocal fragments, the album drifts through haunted soundscapes and late-night frequencies, where time stretches and identity dissolves.

Each track feels like a transmission from an abandoned frequency — distorted but intimate, raw but ethereal. Phntmzn paints with delay and decay; Slaymor carves silence into rhythm; and Br threads the ghost in the machine through it all. Together, they craft a journey that is both a departure and a return.
