Very much a behind the scenes figure, Basic Chanel has recently crawled out from the emails to shimmy behind the decks. Hosting a regular radio show on Refuge Worldwide and running the long-standing music blog Untitled 909, Basic Chanel uses her platforms to share the music she loves and the stories behind the artist’s that makes them.

For this 4th episode of lazed mix series, Basic Chanel introduces us to a very specific selection of « beautiful dreamy ambient-leaning guitar music » she’s been collecting for a while. 

Basic Chanel : « When building this mix, I wanted there to be a hint of romance within the selection, something to pull on your heart (guitar) strings. Pure poetry. Music to make you feel.A soundtrack to the most radiant sunset in the middle of the Nevada desert. A couple of cowboys riding through the heat, making their way back home to their loved ones. Sitting around telling old campfire stories, of past romances, of people you are dreaming about, of those you long for. A mindful porch moment. Drifting away on the ranch. A smokey sense of melancholy and yearning in the air. Always so close but yet so far. This one is for all the cowboy daydreamers. »
