DJ Eddie Fowlkes created the techno genre alongside Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Now the 'Godfather of Techno Soul' uses his extensive knowledge and experience to create dynamic dance music with a house EP drenched in Motor City inspiration. This two-track release is both a love letter to his musical roots and an inspired representation of the left-of-centre house that Classic is known for. For the lead track on this release, 'AHYEE', Eddie carves out his own sound in a low growl as distorted percussion whirs over a four-on-the-floor beat. 'Blow' goes tougher, with an undulating bass that adds a wonky unease to the rhythmic kick and syncopated decoration. Coming from producing some of the first techno records nearly 40 years ago, unique releases like this continue to prove Fowlkes' status as a constant innovator.

Following the hypnotic ‘What’s In Your Head’ EP in 2016, Archie Hamilton returns to Moscow Records with his first solo EP on the imprint since the release last year.

Since finishing 2016 with a place in RA's top 100 DJs poll, he’s been touring the world, had a summer residency at Amnesia and released another massive EP on FUSE. An integral part of the stellar ascent of the brand, and founder at tastemaker label initiatives Moscow Records, Moss Co. and Arkityp,he is an artist very much in control of his rise.

The record opens with Confusion; an out and out anthem which has been tearing up dance floors across the globe all summer. A trademark bassline drives the track forward as stabs build, tight percussion cuts through and a repeating vocal enters. Then when the track drops it shifts the mood completely, causing any dance floor to bump uncontrollably.

Dos Equis is something different altogether. Minimalistic percussion and a tight sub lay the foundations for a funky bass guitar line. Warming pads meet Rhodes keys and out of nowhere a beautifully subtle vocal line appears. As the track breaks down, a mind bending synth line takes the listener out of their state of reflection.

The title track on the flip is a classic piece of groovy Hamilton weaponry. A positive mood that bounces along to a whispering voice in the background. The track develops as lush chords permeate the groove, soaking the dance floor in the last of the summer sun to create a euphoric crescendo.

Here we are again with the awaited release by the Spanish Producer Frink. As shown in past years release he is gone into the most pure Deep club Sound. That Frink is having good success and specially this year is something that anyone following the artist will know with his past releases in Bondage Music reaching the Beatport top 100 in Deep House for over a month and remixing Mihai Popoviciu in same label has make him grow, also his past release Summa into our main label Expmental went into the tops of Deep Tech for over two weeks. With his first gigs in Berlin at Sisyphos or the forthcoming at suicide Circus , playing in many different countries in Europe he is  getting more attention each year also as DJ. So we can add that the Mallorca based artist is in a very good moment right now. Enjoy listening to this two cuts and just let  music talk.

Fresh from announcing the full digitalisation of his second label, Meta, Ben Rau returns to his Inkal imprint with OutThere,  aslicktwo-trackerthatshowcasestheGermantalentathisbest.

The EP begins with title track  Out There , a swelling house cut that merges rolling percussion with funky disco licks, before a heavily delayed vocal calls out to the dancefloor in the breakdown. Driving congas and shuffling hi-hats create a funky peak time track that shows off Ben's big room sensitivities. On the B-side comes  What is Love , a long-awaited and enigmatic house cut that rounds off the release in style. Deep pads swell and ebb, while Ben's signature minimal percussion bleeps and glitches with funk and swing.
A name synonymous with the underground facets of electronic music,  Ben Rau ’s career in such a sphere has developed year on year since his earliest inception into Berlin’s raving circuit. After developing an internal love for the dancefloor, such a passion naturally progressed into a full-time profession where, in 2016, Ben launched his first label, Inkal, as a home for his self-made releases. This was followed by the formation of Meta in 2018, to showcase music from other produces in the scene. Alongside being head of two labels, Ben’s passion for producing has seen his tracks land on the likes of Fuse and Tamango Records, before his incredible remix of Roy Ayers’ legendary  Holiday  was released on BBE in September 2018.
