Jelsen is a House music DJ based in Manchester UK. Since his first event in Liverpool, the upcoming UK artist has since developed an increasingly minimal sound, drawing inspiration from the likes of Mehlor, Djoko, Close to Custom and Max Chapman. Alongside Dj’ing, Jelsen has been learning the craft of producing over the past year, which has led to releases on Fencing Records, Grooved Selects, Altr Records and an upcoming track on Abstrakt Music. 

Whilst pursuing his own career within the scene, alongside his two friends Jelsen runs the label @OBP. Being just over a year old, the label has had great success focusing on promoting talented, upcoming artists who deserve a platform to share their sounds. Striving for a fast-paced minimal house sound, the trio are working hard to create bigger and better things in 2021.

Manchester bred DJ & producer Kreature has been making waves on the underground house scene for well over 15 years, and comes to Ben Rau’s META label with an impressive trio of tracks on the ‘Everything’s Cool’ EP.

With a DJ career that has taken him across South Africa, the United States and Europe, and a production arsenal that has seen labels like Solid Grooves, PIV, Kaluki, DoNotSleep, MOAN, Deeperfect, Seven Dials Records and Moon Harbour all deliver his releases, Kreature continues to stamp his sound on this new EP for META.

Title track ‘Everything’s Cool’ kickstarts this sprightly release, as warming pads wash over DX bass propelled drums and a shuffling groove, deft melodies and vox for a real euphoric ride.  A distinctly UK vibe is set on ‘How We Feelin’, as a rolling breakbeat and bouncing bassline coalesce for a jumpin’ house jam, whilst ‘Watch This’ is a galactic, four to the floor journey, with spacey tones and FX playfully wrapping around a darn funky production for a fitting finale.

Boyanza duo Roiler Boom (Rafatel + Dehesa) make their long awaited production debut with Gorilla Monsoon EP, a 2 track release that features Bonanza’s signature house sound with fun and familiar vocals paired with hints of acid and classic synths that will have you moving and grooving.

The EP consists of two songs, first up we have T(eme) Uno, which focuses on a more classic house sound, heavily featuring an M-1 synth with a modern twist and fun sampling of spanish vocals, which also represent the Boyanza sound.

The second song is Rancho Relaxo, a house banger perfect for big rooms and festivals when a jolt of energy is demanded. It’s acid bass-line does the opposite of relaxing you (as the name of the single would suggest) instead, it makes you want to get up and dance as soon as you can.
