Kareem Cali & LaRosa link up for a debut EP on Sidney Charles's hard hitting Heavy House Society this March, while groove master Nick Beringer serves up a superb remix. 

Kareem Cali & LaRosa have linked many times before on originals and remixes that have helped define the house agenda in recent years. They have a laid back but warm style that is functional but full of subtle detail and studio charm. 

Opener B21 is a brilliantly off-kilter tune with warped synths and tripped out details all making it perfect after party fodder. The drums are driving underneath it all, so will be irresistible to the floor. Over Ground is more stripped back but just as punchy, with rubbery kick drums and squelchy synths making for a hugely dynamic groove that is infectious and restless. 

Rubisco label owner Nick Beringer then steps up after establishing himself as a real underground talent thanks to cult EPs on the likes of Raum, Berg and Taverna Tracks. His version is perfectly hazy and dazed. The balmy pads swirl around like a warm wind, the hi hats are delicate as they spin above the kinetic kicks, and the whole thing oozes warmth and class. 

This is another essential EP from this already standout label.

Next up we welcome Ky William and Tokio with their Better Days EP.
Ky William and Tokio have been making great strides in the scene and they have teamed up on this fantastic project. 

Better Days is the A side of this EP which embodies the deeper side of the minimal scene with a rolling soft baseline and stabby chords, this one can start any set off.

The Park keeps the vibe going with an absolute belter of a track that very much compliments Better Days. They have created a great chord stabbing pad flowing track that's a straight up groover for late night vibes.

Finally, we welcome Botez to the roster. Botez thrills us with an outstanding remix of the A side Better Days, filling in a heavy kick and snares but keeping some main elements of the original while adding his own special touch. This is a real two stepper.

Premiere: Ky William, Tokio - Better Days [Koma Recordings]

Leeds based Tennan returns to Roush with 'Darkside', an amazing 2 track EP showing his versatility and talent. Releasing material on top brands such as Relief, VIVa or elrow Music has put his name in the forefront of consolidate producers within Tech-House scene. With a great passion on analog gear, greek tech-house maestro Tennan shows us on this EP an effective use of well-known machines. Title cut 'Darkside' opens the EP with ferocity showing us Tennan's wildest side using an infectious 303 acid pattern. Detuned chords are the responsible of maintaining an unstoppable vibe while the spoken vocals invites you to join us on the 'Darkside'. Next up, 'Saltarin', an spanish word to say Jumper, opens with a housey 909 dirty pattern and a funky swinged bassline. Sci-fi chords are added on breakdowns adding an absolute madness.

Perth's Shroom has cemented himself as one to watch, by flying the flag for the minimal/deep tech sound evolving in Aus. He's released a calibre of releases on imprints such as Circa Trax, LVCHLD, Obvious records, David San's Miniline, and Eject Records UK. His recent release 'The Music' is one for everyone and made some organic chart action on Beatport, it's one of our favourites, and the reason we love Shroom. 
His signature sound always has some groovy flavour and has received support from Luuk van Dijk, Tommy Vercetti, & Jordan Brando to name a few.

This mix is the start our guest mix series, where we showcase our sound and support our collective of like-minded music lovers. Shroom has signed a two-track EP with us, and it's a stomper!! To celebrate, he's made us this mix to kick start Summer.

Ben Rau has been at the forefront of the underground house scene for well over a decade, and in this time has nurtured two independent record labels to match the quality and flare of his own DJing and production sounds.  

INKAL was set up in 2016, as a vinyl only imprint for his own productions, fast earning a reputation as a 12” label to snap up on sight.  This was followed a couple of years later with META, a label dedicated to grassroots, minimal and deep house music that incorporates talent from around the world, as well as Rau’s own inimitable releases.  As one of the top selling labels on the Beatport store, META has pushed some class acts, many of whom are included on this anniversary compilation ‘4 Years Of INKAL/META’.
