Tommaso Pizzelli - Dargavs

Elleot is a Berlin based DJ & Producer who is set to carve his way through the international underground House scene with a solid year ahead having secured a number of EP’s for the forthcoming year with remixes including, Archie Hamilton, East End Dubs, Subb-an, Sidney Charles and DJOKO, whilst also releasing on prestigious labels in the scene such as four Thirty Two, Do Not Sleep, Avotre and now Seven Dials Records. Meanwhile Andrey Djackonda is from Moldova and is the founder of the label Conceptual Records, and ½ of live project Sol_. As producer Andrey has also released on numerous highly revered labels in the scene such as Avotre, Cyclic, Whoyostro, House On Wax, Inwave Imprint, Kcik and others. Together they have produced the ‘Human Emotions EP’ on Seb Zito’s Seven Dials. 

First up is the title track ‘Human Emotions’. A subtle deep and sensual roller, with gently spoken and whispered vocals meandering through the track, with delicately placed incidentals and chords laced through the deep, and happy bouncing track. 

Last but not least is ‘Joy’ a deep jazz house track showcasing the production duo’s long standing knowledge of the house music scene, as it has a distinct flavour of the 90’s yet with the added twist of 2022 where they keep this track cutting edge yet funky which gives this EP the perfect finish.

Fast establishing itself as one of the premier house labels for those with discerning tastes, Ben Rau’s META label keeps up the high consistency of releases with this new two track offering from The Checkup & Project89.

‘40 Ounce’ comes packed with plenty of bounce (40 ounces maybe!), as a generous bassline weaves around a stellar groove and swinging rhythm.  Vocal refrains are injected into the warm and deep production, and an energetic and heady vibe is firmly stamped over this one.  ‘Dazz Away’ maintains the industrious spirit, combining crisp and rolling beats delivered at an infectious tempo, syrupy female vox and another nifty bass workout from this talented duo.

The Checkup has been delivering some great releases on esteemed house labels like Large Music, Peppermint Jam, Madhouse and Heat Up Music, whilst Project89 has been impressing with his productions for PIV, Mea Culpa Records and Audio Rehab.
