Oculus is one of the titans of the Icelandic techno scene and has been one of its key foundations for over a decade. His live shows have captivated the audience with his exemplarary mixture of deep, innovative and hypnotic techno. His productions skills are unquestionable and we‘re excited to bring you four techno anthems ready to conquer the late night dancefloors.    

Nostalgia is a nod to the older days. Subtle blend of hypnotic mysticism and Detroit-style techno – a instant afterhours anthem! Rydgad is a handy tool for the DJs who love to throw a little swag to their crowd. Its minimal, but still offers a lot of little tricks to make the room work. Morph gets dark and twisted - with Oculus‘s hypnotic voice reassuring the listener in his native tongue that the he is the all-seeing eye of the Icelandic techno scene. The EP ends with the minimalistic mind-twister of „Flod“ – completing the first odyssey of Æ Recordings LTD.

Ink Project’s collaboration with Bristol-based/Trinidadian-born singer/songwriter/producer Coreysan, reveals the duo’s first new material since 2016’s ‘Satellite On’ album, tour support slots around the UK with Dreadzone, iBibio Sound Machine and Sorceress, plus regular radioplay from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Don Letts and Lauren Laverne.

‘Feeding The Fire feat. Coreysan’, the first single from Ink Project’s forthcoming album ‘Rhythm Spirit’, offers a unique and exotic 7/4 exploration of song-based broken beat and dub, drawing inspiration from the likes of the Prodigy, Bugz In The Attic and Grace Jones, giving Coreysan a pulpit to express his passionate desire to never stop exploring his craft, despite the many set-backs and hardships experienced along the way.

Touring the world as a bassist and backing vocalist with the legendary Calypso Rose, the focal point of this unique singer’s raspy, soothing and layered vocal harmonies are further enhanced by producer Jez Lloyd’s tough, broken beats, surrounded by syncopated wooden spoons, techno stabs and hypnotic, soulful keyboard passages, weaving in and out of the mix and creating an inspirational, shamanic-like concoction of rhythmic ritual.

The release comes with an accompanying video filmed in Paris by Alex Balcon and produced by Jamie Chipman, along with remixes from legendary reggae/electronic dub producers Gaudi (Six Degrees/Interchill/Mercury) and Babe Roots (Echocord/System Music/Zam Zam Sounds), techno/dub producer El Choop (ETUI/Stardub/Default Position) and Manchester’s funk/soul/broken beat don Sivey (CoOp Presents/Soulection).

Alexander Molchanov is a music enthusiast who has been a driven part of  the local music community in Russia since 2011. Starting off as a DJand 4 years later, moving up forward with crafting and advancing his skills as an artist. He spent a good amount of time playing local gigs, while contributing to building his small studio with the proper setup at the same time. As every musician needs time to absorb all the material to go through different phases of his career, it took some time for him to get there. In 2017, he started his own label called Potential Move with a debut vinyl EP featuring local artists, coming from his hometown, Kaliningrad, followed-up with another EP and a mini LP, released this year. While keeping busy with the label management, he has also appeared on the first two records with tracks of his own production under Man On The Drums alias.

After taking some time off from the dance music, he's currently hosting a radio show playing experimental / genreless music and working on his debut release we're expecting to be dropped next year.
