Ink Project are a Brighton/Bristol/Barcelona-based electronic/soul/dub collective consisting of Jez Lloyd on production, Melanie Dymond on vocals and Coreysan on vocals, bass and theremin.

After forming in 2011, the band’s second album ‘Satellite On’ came out on their own label Blind Colour in 2016 and they’ve recently gigged across the UK with acts including iBibio Sound Machine, Sorceress and Dreadzone.

They are also no strangers to clubland and so far in 2017, Jez has DJ’d warm-up sets for the likes of Richie Hawtin and Ben UFO at The Warehouse Project in Manchester and Derrick Carter at Patterns in Brighton.

Ink Project’s Source and Cycle mixes reflect their open-minded, eclectic, groove-based musical influencers and take you on a journey through funk, soul, dub, leftfield pop, electronica and tech house.

Welcome to Episode #68 of the Blue-in-Green:PODCAST which sees Imran secure time with Ink Project and Blind Colour Records founder, Jez Lloyd.  We discuss the new Ink Project single and talk about their upcoming third album, we delve into some of the history of the label and discuss many of the frequent Ink Project collaborators.  With great excitement, we also discuss the upcoming milestone in 2021 which will see both Ink Project and Blind Colour celebrate their tenth year of making and releasing music.  It's a genuinely staggering achievement and theirs is a fantastic body of work amassed over those years.  We're really grateful to have spent time with Jez to discuss his incredible successes thus far.
