For our 28th Agora podcast, we welcome Askkin with a special mix, following his impressive closing performance at our collaborative night with Nastia's NECHTO label on December 13th, 2024 at Macadam.

Former resident of Nantes' Faktice parties, Askkin has found his creative home in Brussels where he's reviving Faktice as a label dedicated to sonic innovation. With releases on respected imprints like TWND, Nali, Maison Close, and NECHTO, this seasoned producer regularly appears on the line-ups at the legendary Fuse in Brussels and frequents some of Europe’s most renowned clubs, such as RSO, Machine du Moulin Rouge, Rotesonne, and XRDS Festival.

Dokta OOZ delivers us a beautiful vinyl curation. This mix showcases his selections in a live recording from his very own WaxOn. WaxOff. parties; nestled at Mary Jane’s Hacienda in the heart of Johannesburg. He says: “This mix essentially portrays what I naturally gravitate towards in terms of music. It’s far from a perfect mix, but it’s all I have to capture exactly what was happening in that room. This is why we do it.” 
OOZ says his choice of recording this mix for Inline at WaxOn. WaxOff. was done for “the cause” he says. A phrase he often uses to encourage participation in the scene he loves and cares about.

With his driving, groovy, and hypnotic vinyl-only sets, he creates a dark and mystic atmosphere. As a resident DJ at ROUND and through numerous performances at clubs across Berlin, he has built a solid reputation. His latest sets offer an excellent opportunity to experience his distinctive musical style.
