Anyone of us has lost a beloved person once before. Therefore we wrote the lyrics to our first song „empty inside“. With that song we wanted to tell those people, that we will never forget them and that they’re with us wherever we are and whatever we do. In collaboration with Silke Schmiemann we recorded „Empty Inside“ in a complete new emotional way. Thank you Silke for your wonderful voice and this very soulful song.

"Sanfte Klänge eröffnen den 62. Teil unserer Compilation. In my Absentia widmen sich der melancholischen Seite der Musik und zeigen mit Poem of Agony, wie ausdrucksstark und facettenreich leise Töne sein können. Das Duo besteht aus David (...), der eigentlich rockigeren Klängen zugewandt ist, und der Sopranistin Sandra (...), die mit ihrer Stimme den unverwechselbaren Sound von In my Absentia prägt. 2009 haben sie zusammengefunden, um ihre gemeinsamen künstlerischen Visionen umzusetzen. Dabei sind bisher etliche Lieder entstanden, die den Hörer aus dem hektischen Alltag in andere Dimensionen entführen. Für ruhige Momente genau das Richtige! Wir sind gespannt, welche Welten In my Absentia uns in Zukunft präsentieren werden."
