After its outstanding reception following its initial release back in January, Wankelmut & Emma Louise's infectious single - 'My Head Is A Jungle' returns with a souped up package and is set to be released worldwide on 15TH September via Positiva. Heavily supported by BBC R1's Pete Tong, 'My Head Is A Jungle' was dubbed his 'Essential New Tune' back in February as well as receiving championing support from BBC R1's tastemaker Annie Mac. It comes as no surprise that the single is already platinum in Italy, top 30 in Germany (and rising) and top 5 airplay in South Africa!

Wankelmut who has mainly been deejaying in underground clubs in Berlin such as Sisyphos and MIKZ, became 'Newcomer of the Year' last year (GROOVE Magazine) and has been in high demand as both DJ and Remixer ever since. Wankelmut has a very entertaining and well crafted way of deejaying with a huge variety of styles from Deep House to Techno. Beside playing all over Europe he remixed Gossip, Jay Haze, Lukas Graham and various other underground records which established his status within the Techno House Scene. On his 24th birthday in December 2011 Wankelmut aka Jacob Dilßner uploaded his unofficial remix for Asaf Avidan's "Reckoning Song' to Soundcloud. More than one year later the now official remix has sold 1.3 Million copies on Sony/Columbia, scored over 100 Million Youtube Plays and entered the #1 spot in 8 european countries, as well as being the best-selling track on Beatport last year.

In cooperation with the talented Australian singer Emma-Louise, the duo deliver a finely tuned piece of melodic brilliance. Wankemut's faultless Tech-house production, and Emma-Louise's blissful vocals will have you instantly hooked and will be circling around your head for days to come. In addition to the supreme remix package from Gui Boratto, Kasper Bjorke and Solee, new remixes come from Friend Within, and Marc 'MK' Kinchen, who steps up to deliver one of his much loved MK edits which premiered last Friday on Pete Tong.

Back in March 2003 Claro Intelecto announced his arrival in the electronic world with his Peace Of Mind EP on Ai Records. Now, a decade later, Delsin, the label on which he released his latest LP, is re-releasing it in all its glory. Across four perfectly formed tracks the EP proved Manchester’s Mark Stewart to have a fine grasp on techno, electro and dub, and that he was able to do his own unique things with each.

Arguably the most well known cut from the EP is 'Peace of Mind (Electrosoul)', a busy bit of chattery house-come-electro that is wired up with many zithering melody lines and Claro's trademark lush strings. 'Tone' is then a much more frazzled and aggressive bit of techno with raw, slapping percussion, gurgling synth lines and plenty of dystopian electro vibes. 'Contact' then settles into a deep, dubby, spacious groove with airy hi hats and a delightful bassline and carries you along effortlessly, and final track 'Signifier' closes things out in beautifully serene style with ambient swirling pads, organic synths and a curious bassline that rises and falls like the tide. Seminal stuff that still fetches a high price on Discogs, it was the start of a remarkable career for Claro Intelecto.

It got such great responses and Spinnin' Records also loved it! Later I finished it with @GregorSalto himself and now it will be released 29th of august on @SpinninRecords :)

The second release is a split between the Label owners LC12 and the rising star Autre.

On the first side Rumore and Orphidal are opening the release with a 115 bpm proto-ambient track filled with liquid grooves and tribal elements while in the second cut they are showing us their faster and deep-acid side with Conversations.

On the other surface Autre is killing it with Filter Sessions 329, a mental techno trip did while experimenting with his new filter bank, an 808 and a Juno 106. The B2 is an elegant track with a Fred P-esque touch, suitable for every kind of dancefloor.

Colour and Pitch is honored to present this selection of previously unreleased remixes from leftfield production hero Q-Burns Abstract Message. Since remixing the label’s debut release (“Simpatico” by Sumsuch), Colour and Pitch has built a close relationship with the mercurial Orlando-based artist, and constant pestering for more music has finally paid off. Rescued from obscurity and lovingly remastered, QBAM RMX1 is made up of vintage Q-BAM reworks that never saw the light of day for one reason or another. It’s been a true labour of love tracking down the original artists and getting deals agreed, but one listen to this EP makes all the hard work worthwhile. 

Opening the EP is a breaks-y, atmospheric, and psychedelic version of Church Williams’ 2013 indie-pop gem “Touch The Sun”. Next up Q-BAM tackles “Absence” by underground trip-hop / synth-pop collective The Antirealists, supplying a bass-driven, shoe-gazing indie-dance interpretation … as addictive as it is unique. The brilliantly named Japanese Insanity receive a percussion-led, driving workout, taking their track “The Lobster” into hypnotic dance floor territory. The remix of Robert McCoy’s “Damascus” builds steadily into a trippy deep house bubbler and is off-kilter in the best possible way. Last but by no means least, Mathew Scot’s “Trauma” is re-imagined in a style reminiscent of West Coast house music during its mind-expanding golden era. 

Brimming with inventiveness and creativity, these five remixes see Q-Burns Abstract Message at his vintage, genre-defying best; somehow managing to sound cerebral and visceral all at once.

If everything suddenly changed – what would that be like? German house producer Qnete aka Marvin Uhde has been quite active in the past couple of years, with numerous EPs released on Drowned Records, ZCKR and Lobster Theremin. He's at it again with "If Everything Suddenly Changed", his new delivery on Wake Up! Records. According to the press release, all tracks were recorded "within a short period of time" and "straight to tape, raw and improvised", which is something you can definitely hear throughout the EP. The title track featured here is a good example of it, with its warm analog sound, organic synths, and crisp electronic percussion. House music at its best, need!

A deep four tracker EP containing real Detroit vibes, pushing Carl Craig, Dan Curtin and Kenny Larkin sounds, beamed into today's world. The first track has an anthem alert tag attached, which is rare in 313 country these days...starting melancholic with lush sounds and firm beats, then slowly building into piano heaven. This 12" busts loose with "Satin Kimono," a funky floor-filler with the most perfect AOR song title in existence. "Make It Happen" cools the A-side down with a mellow yet uplifting soft rock groover; dubby voices beckon the listener to break free and never look back.

"Honey It's You" is a pumped up edit of an old 'Chimney classic and was crafted specifically as a wedding gift for fellow Dream Chimney member Hatchback - now available for the first time in a physical format!  "Larceny Dub" soars to new heights of AOR bliss, featuring an extensive re-working of a record that was passed along to Ryan by an ex-Deadhead neighbor.

On side A, he proves that he truly is 'The Tourist', delivering what we’re already toting as our Summer anthem—a relentless hurricane drum pattern full of toms, timbales and splashes that lays the rhythmic foundation for his Pacific chords and euphoric melodies–an undeniable floor-filler that invites all to dance unencumbered by the constraints of “functional” club music. With side B’s 'Oye', Man Power rolls out a similarly vibrant combination of drums and rhythm, however he toughens up the aesthetic with a massive rolling acid bassline, only briefly letting up for a spot of layered marimbas and spriteful pads before culminating in an emotional finale. After spending a couple years churning out tracks for various labels around the world, Man Power has undoubtably shifted his narrative point-of-view and updated his sense of craft upon his induction to the ESP Institute.
